Ah no, I'd have more success at using a tablet as a door stop. You have talent, be cool and accept the compliment Fren "or I shall taunt you one more time"

Ooh is that the highest res image available? That would be tough. If I had great detail pictures of the PF like I do for Verne's World I could, and it looks like a simple enough PF design it would only take a few days, but I really need some high res playfield photos too

I got my own tablet today and I'm pretty impressed. Having used the Wacom for the past week I was worried that a really cheap model would be uninspiring but I have to say...it might be better. It's got a bigger drawing surface, the same number of programmable buttons, same connection, simpler drivers and configuration utility. It feels a little more sensitive than the wacom, which could be good or bad depending what you do. The wacom felt a bit more forgiving for shakiness, while this new one is a bit shakier (follows your hand at what feels like a higher resolution)

If you were considering a cheap drawing tablet to try out, I definitely recommend it. That being said, I also recommend the Wacom but for the price, this one is perfect.

http://www.monoprice...&seq=1&format=2

It's a comparable model to the Wacom Intuos 4 M that I was using.

I've started drawing the plastics with this  model and seem to be working pretty quickly. I just need to practice meditation and steady my hand more :)

edit: sorry, one thing - the Monoprice tablet uses a single AAA battery for the stylus, no idea how long it lasts. Also on further examination, I think the shakiness/sensitivity is due to the "nibs" - the part of the stylus that makes contact with the tablet. I Think the monoprice ones are a harder material than the wacom stylus, so they slide a bit more on the surface versus the wacom sticking to it.

I've been wanting to buy a tablet forever but never get around to it.....would be nice since I can actually draw, but with them becoming more affordable while still having quality I think I may need to break down and get one.....yolo.

I will be finished with the redraw tomorrow, minus some touch ups I see needed as I build. Plastics drawn, need color on a few more.

Cant believe my eyes. I never thought i would see this in vp, yet alone a beautiful redraw.
Last year mike pacak brought vernes world to expo and everyone got to play it, including me. Fun game.
He may bring it again this year. Expo is in chicago in october.

You are doing a fantastic redraw!

Ah man I'd love to play it, guess that's why I'm trying to create it in VP! I am fascinated by some of the rarer pinball machines, and the odd ones as well. I think the Spinball tables are all pretty cool looking, with a bit of the same retro look as Verne's World with modern toys on top.

I live in the NW so all the expos that get this pin (Chicago and others) are a bit out of range. They all sound great.

Depending how this build goes, ie. if it emulates well, I may look into the other Spinball games. Jolly Park looks pretty cool if I can get more resources.

We need a manufacturers logo for HyperPin/PinballX to go with these tables. I did a hand drawn recreation of it that will look fine on the table but won't look so great in the launcher. Does anyone have a high-res scan?

If you used smart uv unwrap. The image is probably on the bottom if you didn't texture them both

Oh I need to texture top and bottom? So one needs to be mirrored? I was thinking the issue was that I resized the textures to fit the UV map, rather than resizing the UV map to fit the textures, so some were stretched and some were condensed. I won't really know until I tinker with it tonight.

Fixed my plastics primitive texturing

Found some Spinball pop bumpers thanks to Francisco666 over on GoPinball - They're a little rough I might try my hand at modeling one myself, it looks fairly simple.

Redrew the apron, added a few screws, the saga continues tomorrow after I work on WWF some more

DcBdfqJ.jpg

I don't understand the fuzzy texturing on cube primitives.

Fuzzy primitives. I found that when I stretched the scale of the drop target in VP to make it wider, I had to stretch the texture image also then place my text to keep the text crisp. Best way is probably to get the object proportions right in Blender, so the texture map has the same proportions.
