I enjoy this game on VP9 and would like to play it on X too. I can't seem to get my DMD to display the score

Maybe you have one of those Intel graphic cards which cannot display lights on the desktop. So just find the line nr 66:

.Hidden = VarHidden and change VarHidden with a 0. This will enable the vpinmame window and you should see the score.

If not then it may be the vpinmame window is outside of the screen, and you can get it back by adding this line right under the line 66 (the one you edited before):

.SetDisplayPosition 0, 0, GetPlayerHWnd

Thanks JP.Put the 0 in and I have a DMD now. Is there a way to rotate it 90 degrees? And, by the way, I'm so happy to see you back and active again!

To rotate the display to the left, as in the FS view, add this line after the line 56 (the one with the .SplashInfoLine......)

.Games(cGameName).Settings.Value("rol") = 1

That doesn't do it, JP. I notice there's another line which says exactly the same thing as you suggested a few lines later. I tried changing it to 1 as well. No luck. Interestingly, I notice that the VP9 version is not displaying the dmd either. And I know it used to---don't remember if it showed on my real dmd or just the standard dmd, but seeing it now in VPX, I see scores that were put there when I played the VP9 version. I recently upgraded my cab to win7 from xp, added more ram, and changed video cards to a newer, more powerful one. I'm not sure if that could have anything todo with it. Thanks

thanks JP for another great vpx conversion :)

i had to update the script, added soundfx for fx ballrelease, knocker, splitted switch for bumper1 and bumper3, also left and right slingshots, with DOF calls, here's the updated script

Stupid question time....What is this DOF stuff that seems to have crept into many of the tables here? What do I need to correct this?

you dont need anything special to play this table, other then VPX... when you see DOF just ignore it... if you have it great, if you dont, still fine....

Well, I wasn't going to post this, but, let's just say that things work better when you use the right version of vpx.

Visual Pinball Tables made to use DOF can be played without having DOF installed. It will play just like a normal table.

Future Pinball Tables made to use DOF cannot be played without installing DOF. They simply will not run.

Thanks for the update JP and Arngrim.

Great table!!

Carry on.

JP awesome work man...
but what was Gottlieb thinking in the era??...god awful PF!!, and just as terrible BG .... I mean thats just personal taste ... photos on pins = NO!!

It's so bad it's good! Remember this was the 80's...I have the real pin and it's one of my favorites...play it everyday.

Thanks for the VPX version - it plays nicely compared to the previous VP9 version.

Good to know, since I have never seen the table in real life, but I have seen a few videos :)
