Anyone have the details on the tweaks necessary to adjust any flashers, etc, for 100% cabinet use yet?  Table plays great, but I notice at least a couple small issues with some lighting, mainly around the slingshots and right outlane area, which I assume is due to the table being built for desktop use per JP in one of his threads.  I don't appear to be good enough at the editor to figure out what needs to be tweaked...

I second this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi JP ,

Pressing the "1" key is not starting the game for me?? everything loads just fine , I can see the dmd , I can nudge the table and everything bounces around .. but I cant start the game??

EDIT :

Never mind , it was stuck on the "restore factory settings" ,I googled it and found I had to press the 7 key

I'm getting a "Controller" error. Running the 1.1.1 version of this table, I am asked if I am using DOF. I select no. I'm shown a script error in line 50 (Object required: Controller). I click OK and am shown another script error in Line 1 (Object required: Controller). I'm probably doing something noobish. Can anyone help?

In this case you have to browser to the User Folder in your VPX Directory and open the "controller.txt". Here you change the first line "forcedisableB2S=0" to "forcedisableB2S=1" and VPX will use the

standard Pinmame Controller.

My current VPX Tables I am working on:

Attack from Mars/Finished - The Walking Dead Pro/90% - The Lord of the Rings/75% - Family Guy/90% - The Simpsons Pinball Party/15%

That's the one I'm using, yes.

I understand that controller.vbs is supposed to create a controller.txt but it doesn't.

please redownload the vpx package with the latest scripts, you don't need to touch the controller.txt and forcedisableb2s, controller vbs auto detects if you havz b2s and if not loads vpinmame controller, forcedisable is for the developers mainly

Hi JP (and others).

Thanks for this great table I love playing it but I have an issue you might be able to help with.

When I shoot the ball up the capture lane or the ball lock lane it very rarely registers. If it was a real pinball I would adjust the switch up there but obviously I can't :wimper:

Any suggestions please.

Many Thanks

You can't take it with you so you might as well waste it on pinball!

I downloaded the full installer the 7th of february, should be updated.

I uninstalled re-instlalled VP & got the same problem again with another table.

Correcting the text file fixed the problem once again. I can also play Wizard with the b2s working! :hmm:  :tup:Attached File  Clip_resize.jpg   177.82KB   17 downloads

Had hours of fun while playing this table yesterday. Thanks for this great version of the table.

I was lucky to get 2x Strobe Multiball (looks very nice) and I won the video mode for the first time :-)

I've played AFM probably more than any game and never beat that bloody video mode! Now I need to go play it again, nice to hear it can be done :)

There are two tricks for beating the mode easier:

a) press the launch button for a smart bomb during video mode (only available once)

b) get the cow mod of the video mode: by shooting the left and right ramps, once in a while there will be a cow. press launch and you'll hear a moo. do this for both ramps and you'll get the cow video mode when launching video mode then (which is IMHO a tiny bit easier to beat).

At the end of the video mode, you have to hit a mothership (I believe it was 80 times). No Joke, I did not know it until I saw it yesterday the first time  :)

Has anyone else had this table crash on them regularly? It seems that under a specific set of circumstances, VPX crashes for me most of the time.

Read the details.

That issue aside, this is a great table!

Don't live your entire life staring at your phone or a computer screen. There will be plenty of time for that when you are old and unable to move around like you used to.
