Some of the animations are pretty cute but still doesn't compare to the real table.   Surprisingly I am an old school gamer yet I don't mind the FX3 tables but my teenage son (new age) couldn't care less for FX3 tables and only likes VPX tables.  Go figure.

On a side note I noticed something pretty cool and different for the Black Rose FX3 conversion.  You know how all high scores are entered through Steam's front end, well in the Black Rose FX3 conversion you actually enter high scores the traditional way via DMD and the flipper buttons.  This is cool for several reasons, one High Scores now roll thru on the DMD and not just Steam front end but also you don't have to pull out a keyboard to enter initials when playing FX3 in cabinet mode via Hyperspin or PinballX (a real pain).  Wish Zen did this for all their tables.  It would be more Cabinet mode friendly.  I also wish you could disable the DMD on the main display when you go 3 screen (DMD appears at top of main display on table and also in 3rd screen).

Forgot to say during my previous posts "thanks JP for Ghostbusters and all your hard work!"

You can disable the playfield DMD, can't remember the setting but its there somewhere.  I have it relocated to my 3rd screen and works great.

In FX3 you can also set an option to always enter your initials via flippers and the dmd for all tables.  It has been there for quite some time =)  Just go to Options>UI>Enter Initials-Classic and enable it. The DMD position settings are under the cabinet settings which are not enabled until you get a key from Zen Studios to enable cabinet mode.  If you click the cabinet mode button it will tell you how to request a key.

Three different physics settings. “Arcade” mode physics are closest to VPX. Ball is a little weightier than our default. Zen slope is too high, imo. Magnet in drain feeling, but still quite good. Vast improvement over TPA. Biggest area of criticism for me is with regard to lighting: No “vibe” at all. Tables don’t blow up with light shows. You know our “falloff” setting in VPX lighting? Zen’s is set to absolute minimum. The lights go nowhere. Underwhelming!

Still, totally worth ten bucks, and quite fun.

I agree, the FX3 Ball feels pretty heavy and the rubbers are very bouncy so it's extremely difficult to catch the ball on the flippers.  It tends to bounce a lot higher than in VPX and ball control requires a lot more redirecting the ball and slowing it down than stopping it altogether.  Graphically the tables look pretty awesome but I agree that the lighting is not nearly as cool looking as it could be.  They need to add some lighting options in the cabinet settings or something.  But bottom line - would I recommend the FX3 Williams packs?  Yes, absolutely.

HUGE thanks to everyone for their help.  I did already have a cabinet code and was using it 3 screens but the DMD was not only showing on my third screen but also on the playfield.  Because of Ben Hogan saying it was possible to shut it off on the playfield I went back and looked.  Low and behold I found it but the strange thing is it wasn't under cabinet settings but under general UI options.  Previously I only looked in the cabinet mode settings.

Also as stated in this thread there was also under options (not in cabinet settings) the option to make all high scores entered via flippers and not keyboard.  FX3 is now FUN!!!   Thanks all.

BTW I use PinballX as my front end and it is working fine for showing me my VPX rom based high scores when I look at info on a table.  Can PinballX also show you high scores for non rom based VPX tables (like Slimer Ghostbusters for example) or for Pinball FX3 titles?
