wow  my favorite table is now re worked !  awesome effort guy's cant wait to use it.

One question i am using VP 9.1.2 can u update to 9.1.6 with no problems or is there a certain way to do it. ?

I was scared to upgrade also, worried I might screw it up, and wasn't sure that the older tables would still work.  Easy to do, just download one of the daily builds (I used rev 622 for no particular reason, but instructions for this table say to use the latest, rev 628).  Go to your Visual Pinball folder, you will be replacing the file "VPinball.exe".  I renamed my existing .exe file to "VPinballOLD.exe", then put the new one in and renamed it "VPinball.exe".  Any problems, just rename your OLD file and everything goes back to where it was.

Hope there's no issue with me posting the link I found to daily builds.......

Is that change to the rom that you talk about in the script?

Thanks for the nice comments everyone!

VP916 exe should be enough. At least I haven't updated anything else in a long time. The reason I'm suggesting revision 628 is that it features a huge performance boost for tables with lot of alpha flashers / effects. The reason being that it does not render walls for ramps that have 0 height walls (like with all flashers). At least for me all micro stutter is now gone with this revision.

The rom change for the idol behaviour must be done from the rom service menu. Open coin door and navigate to the A.2 section number 28 to change the value. I haven't done it myself so I'm just repeating instructions that were told to me :)

I will fix those few graphic glitches that were reported at some point but don't expect a new release right away.

There will also be a night MOD at some point with more visible lighting effects. Let's see when I find the time and energy to finish it!

Love the highly detailed playfield, the physics, the lights.

I have routed the slot for my playfield screen on my cab between 0° and 9°, 6° to be precise, and the inclination of the playfield is just perfect for my cab.

So, overall I'm very impressed :)

Got the rom change--didn't think that those adjustments changed the rom. I should have realized when you said Section A.2 and 28 that  you meant to go into the coin door and make adjustments. Got it  Thanks

Just spent a lot of time with this and I am more impressed than I thought i would be. Tough table (as it should be). Had to get some insight into the rules online before I could start to score. Looks amazing and physics seem very natural.

Only a couple of things I would comment on, The "Y" rollover at the top is hard to tell if it is lit or not. I realize that this could be a peculiar anomaly of my particular monitor. But since the "I" and "N" are (rightfully) covered by the ramp, it increases the challenge of completion quite a bit (for me).

The other thing that happened was that the table appeared to get confused a couple of times, and only gave me 1 ball when I should have had 3 balls going. It corrected the situation after a ball search (after I drained the 1 ball) and launched 2 balls from the idol on the middle-right.

I want to reiterate my pleasure in playing this table and thanks to all involved in this masterpiece!

You could if you change the formatting / layback values (on the backdrop).

But I'd suggest to leave them alone because you may end up with a table that has wrong proportions (length / width). What you want is to increase width and change the field of view. The quite common problem with VP tables is that they are too wide for their height, since the real tables (not widebody) are approximately 2:1. This is often not the case with the VP versions, making round lights look oval and similar artifacts.

It happened on my cab once that the idol was confused somehow: I lost the ball in game but the game continued as the ball was never lost until somehow I released the one ball that was in the idol head and the game continued as there was never a bug. Weird but maybe such problems can also happen on a real table...

something strange i never seen on lord's original table : when you shoot the ball up the left loop the ball appears above the tiltable platform ... when actually running below it

strange

it happens just above "PIT" hole

any ideas why this is happening and has anyone seen this glitch too ?

edit: ok just played lords original indy table and this is not happening in his release ...

Strange, this wasn't happening in earlier beta versions I tested, at least I never noticed...

Okay, I'm running 9.16 rev 628 and the Idolhead is tiny. Everything else seems to be fine (looks friggin' awesome too! great job!).
