Just found this.

Thanks a million guys for all the hard work.

I have not tried any of the Beta builds as I was trying to be patient.

Glad to see it finally got released.

What's this I see. No more 4GB patching needed? No more Run as Admin. needed?

Those things have just become automatic with me. How will I ever learn to stop. :)

It should also work if it is in the system path - so you should be cable to copy it into c:\windows if you don't want it in the vp folder.

No problems here so far, though I haven't had time to work through all the options yet. Nothing's 'broken' anyway and my current 9.12 dev work is running more or less the same on 9.15. Don't know if I'm getting any performance enhancement yet though (is there a handy tool to monitor the FPS from two different VP versions), and the ATI HD 4600 glitch problem is still apparent, meaning that VP has to run in 16-bit colour. I'm confident the DX9 upgrade will eventually fix that though. For now, any tips on optimizing 9.15 for this particular type of card?

One very positive benefit with 9.15: the texture-related memory leakage I was experiencing that I reported the other day appears to have immediately gone. Hooray!

Just to let you know i have the same error also only street fighter 2. I added both the updates for street fighter and VP at the same time so i will test and see which one is causing the error for me.

Just noticed one thing since trying this on the cab today.... The ball sits on the upper flippers (i.e. stargate).
I used to believe this was strickly driver related, but it doesn't appear to be. It has something to do with certain tweak changes.
I have been following Koadic's uploads closely and i can load different versions and one will have this issue, another will not.
Any ideas what it can be?
Cheers,
Maceman

Here's an interesting graphical conundrum: turning the 3D stereo OFF on any ramp de-prioritizes the rendering of it so that whatever status, size and height it has, automatic high-priority objects such as lights and dropwalls will always be rendered on top of it. Is this intentional, or a bug waiting to be fixed? Because if it's supposed to do that, I can think of some animation applications for it that could bypass the need for a ton and a half of alpha ramps.

Can't say I really understand why the options are there in the first place though. By '2D hacks like halos / flashers / GI', I read that as any flat-ramp texture with alpha-PNG transparancy. So.... why would these not be desire for 3D viewing, if by that it means on a 3D-TV screen? How can a VP table rendered on a 2D plane be translated into 3D viewing anyway without constant realtime draw refresh? Are many people really going to find that worth the effort? Also, what's a 2.5D hack - does that mean a ramp texture set at an angle rather than flat horizontal or vertical?

I think a bit more clarity with the definitions is called for here.

To get technical: The 3D stereo modify thingie will turn zbuffer writes off if disabled, which means that they will simply not distort underlying objects when used in 3D stereo mode.. So its kinda intended, but in itself already a hack that is most likely not able to survive future VP versions, as it fiddles with rendering behavior in a bad way.. So please only really use it for what it says, cause there it actually makes sense to do it like that and where this is the best way to tackle these distortions.. :)

As for 3D stereo: All ppl that used it so far and reported back loved it.. Also its kind of a perfect test for future VP versions: If a table nowadays looks good in 3D stereo mode, chances are good it will still work okay in the future, as not much hacks were used to fake certain effects, and its mostly 'real 3D', meaning stuff is modelled as it would be in 'real life'.. And as we want to bring VP in general to that level, getting rid of hacks and 2D magic, it all makes sense (at least for me :))..

As for 2.5D hacks: For me it means that 'real' 3D objects are flattened in VP to a 2D buffer with ZBuffer attached and then later-on all of that is composited in this weird way we all love/hate.. That's why a lot of the functionalities in VP can be abused for stuff it wasn't intended for and where all these weird behaviors come from, that VP table creators have to deal with.. If it would all be 'real 3D' then it would all be much better specified how to render this, no weird priorities, etc that one have to be careful with..
