Chriz brought this up, but apparently it´s not that easy to change whitout major change of the script itself.
And the ball is smaller due to the table being a widebody sized one! laugh.gif

Yeah So Far I am 2 for 2 again, both games Ball gets stuck in different spots and I can't bump it free. 1.01 still broken. One of the spots is Right Behind the D where you Spell B.E.D. If I keep bumping I can get it out, but then the game tilts.

Thank you JP for your hard work, and the great updates of your tables. One question. The ball is smaller on these new tables, but the Flintstones table is the same size as the old one. Is there a reason for that? It looks even smaller than what the normal ball would be to scale. Is there a way to make the ball a little bigger? Thanks again for the great updates! Mike.

JP does his widebody tables with smaller balls, its the same with Star trek also. Which is great for scale. Other authors are choose to compress the ratio so that the ball is the same size but the portions are off like The Lord Hyriu IJ table.

I must admit I think personally I would take the trade off for the slight change in ratio to have larger balls like UW uses for his tables. The ball is one of if not the most important factor on a table, so keeping it to a life like size is important to me, plus I can see the damn thing better when it's traveling at speed if it's bigger haha smile.gif. I take it though the small ball size it only really an issue for the FS version of the table and probably isn't very noticeable on the 4:3 versions?? Maybe if it wasnt too much of an undertaking that JP could make amendments to just the FS versions of his tables for future release and updates??

Your right thought, UW's old night mod of JP's Flintstones table used a larger ball without changing the layout of the table, so maybe it's not too difficult to change??

Hi JP, it seems there's a couple stuck ball issues so I thought I'd post a picture to help you out:

Great re-creation and thank you for remaking it!!

I found where the ball gets stuck on the ramp, thanks kruge99 for the image, it helped me a lot smile.gif
The ball stops because it hits a ramp that it should not hit. Actually it hits a corner which should not hit. See the image. Moving a little that ramp fixes the problem. It doesn't happen on the desktop table.

I'll fix that in the next revision.

Now it should be nice if someone could post a picture of where exactly it gets stuck on top of the BED lights. I can't see any place where it can get stuck.

Update 1.02:

-Fixed the ball getting stuck on the left ramp. It only happened in the FS version and not in the desktop version, even if ramps are the same. I have also updated the desktop version with the small changes.

There is a ton of discussion surrounding this. Ball size is standard, not modified. The size of the ball has to do with the size of the table and the amount you are scaling it to fit on your screen. You don't just "make the ball bigger". Then it won't be the right size for the table. It may even get stuck on some ramps and stuff.

Hello jpsalas!

Sometimes the ball is just not have enough speed to go through the bottom "ramp".

It happened me 3. time. I use 9.12 of course.

A friend of mine that owned the real table told me also that this happened on the real table, also. They had to open it up and pull it out, so I was told.

Rather than try to solve this, is it possible to detect when the ball search routine runs. If so, could you do something like table.destroyball and then plunger.createnewball (or whatever those routines are?) In the virtual pinball world, we can actually get away with things like that.

You can always hit the "T" key for a big nudge and it will send the ball to the playfield.

About what can we do to fix it? I guess we can try to change the settings, like reducing the Gravity constant and increasing the Min and Max Slopes. Or we could add a kicker there to destroy the ball by hitting a key, but that could be considered cheating smile.gif

older vp9FS:
cannot move images out of the play field on the older VP9 table.
there are images in the plunger and the left side of the table on the ramps.
they are blocking the ramps and the ball.
cannot see the ball as it comes down the ramp untill the ball is on the flipper.
the images are not in the editor.
in the new 911FS the ramps have a clear view.
how do i get the images out of the older vp9FS so i can see the ball?

images are not in the image window or backdrop editor.

click on the screen shot to open the image of the table.
look at the left and right side of the table in the plunger and upper ramps.
the images look like hats.
i dunno.
they are bocking the ramps.
cannot move them out so i can see the ball.
