5 minute mode does sound like a fun sort of challenge.

 

Think it'll need a button to activate / deactivate it in the front end though(?)... and i don't have a spare button on the cab!

Same for me. Because of ponemho, I run out of all the keys. I now attached a small keyboard to the cab. Not nice, but handy
(Now I think about it ... i have 2 coin chutes keys left in my front end. I can insert a 50 cent or 1 euro to start a challange. Thanls Scutters for the idea!)

Not sure how i gave you the idea Mike, but happy to take the 'credit'   (pun intended!)

 

Hmm, maybe i can do similar and unmap my credit button from instruction cards in PinballX for pinemhi use too as I don't really view instruction cards in the front end anymore..

Well, the only thing you did was saying we need more buttons in our cab. So that what makes me think.

today playing dr Dude.
Although the table looks fantastic, I don't like the physics of it.
I can't get the ball correctly where I want
I hot the Gazillion target (only 5 million ) , and was playing until I hit the something and the ball came behind the drop target (well, these are not dropping in this table), and the ball was stuck behind the "big shot"

 

I had 22 mil on score in my 3rd ball.
Anyone else got this as well, and knows how to make the physics better (or is it just me)?

Maybe the challenges can post links to pre tested versions of the tables?
Cause yea, i do not think the ball is supposed to be there, especially since it has no way of leaving there.

 

And while tables can be fixed, they cant always be fixed in the time span of the challenge, and even if they are, it is not fair to the others in the challenge
if a fixed version goes out on the last day of the challenge, and a guy just is not able to download it and submit another score cause of work or what not
then he could lose though technically had the best game simply due to the fact he had to do it with a busted table.

 

Last time, i got handed a win because of a busted table, which i dont feel good about getting, and asked to have mine deleted
and not everyone had a chance to even retry the table with the fixed version.

 

Maybe need a committee to review possible challenge tables for issues, submit the good ones for challenge candidates
and make a list of the problem ones, to see if we can get the authors to address the issues found, or if that is a dead end, give others time to look at making them challenge ready, and have them available before being added to the challenge list?

Dna only does do the roms, so it will be a hell of a job to find a table that is working 100%.
Also noticed some balls "jump" over my left flipper and drain away.
I dont understand anything of a table and the visual part of it, so I'm really glad with the table authors/editors.

It is not hard to fix a table up for those kinds of things
just a matter of consistent time to go through it

Maybe for you mate, but I'm better with coding (although maybe Scutters won't agree with that ... just kidding)

Hey DNA. when checking pinemhi leaderboard, I can select for a specific table. When selection a table the button for checking a single user, only shows "all users" and not individual users anymore.
You did that on purpose ? I'm pretty sure that this was different a couple of weeks ago

Just an idea

It's all for good fun...
Most of the time people will use the same (newest) table and because of that equal chances for everybody
Even with the bad ones you can have a competition....with all the quirks and stuff..
Too much work otherwise...with approving tables and such....
Fully automated now so not much work for me to do this way thankfully
