I'm having the same problem BorgDog did when switching over to windown 10...any fixes on this? he let me know he ended up uninstalling win 10

My screenshot from Tommy looks like the Acid Queen already had her way...

Does it happen after a restart and the first thing you run is vpx? I've a different looking problem on win10 when I disable ambient occlusion, after a couple of table reloads I've to restart the display driver to fix graphics glitches.

I've tried to do that with no luck- mine seems specific to the vp10 engine, though with no problems with vp9 tables. I'll be anxious to get this resolved...so far windows 10 is crapping the bed although i do like the interface.

What graphics card are you running lodger?  I had this issue on my laptop with integrated intel graphics, changing driver settings did change the look of the messed up screen, but none could make it right.  VP9 worked fine for me as well.

There seems to be two different graphics related problems on windows 10, is there a way we can help you identify the problem Toxie? The drivers for the gpu was just recently updated but nothing has changed. I play lot's of new and old games and vpx is the only one with the glitches. I'm not putting the blame on vpx, but maybe there is a way to workaround the problem?

My graphics card is an internal intel hd graphics 4400

i don't know actually.. it seems to be intel specific, so most likely its a win10/intel bug that needs to be fixed by them..

that shouldn't matter.. did you update your drivers to the really latest official nvidia ones?

and do you play on a laptop? (cause then you might have 2 gfx boards in there, one nvidia, one intel)

do you have a screenshot? or is it the same visual issue?

Ah. One question i did have was re where the glitch is occurring. some of the things, plasics, etc are rendering appropriately it is the layer between the playfield and the "player" that seems to be giving me issues. is there a formal term for that space that is being rendered? This could be helpful for me to describe the problems to other forums, etc. Thanks

another longstanding issue fixed: The rotation of the lighting should now be the same for cab or non-cab mode (or whatever rotation you choose in the background settings ;)). If there are still major differences, then please let me know.

actually to me it looks like some bug with the depth buffer.. but of course it could be all kinds of stuff..

Hey Toxie, can we get this newest playfield on ball reflection enabling / strength to be separated from the table objects / ball on playfield reflection options?  From a quick look at the code it seems all 3 reflection aspects share the same parameter field.  The ball and objects on table may make sense to be one and the same as it is regarding the reflectiveness of the table PF / gloss but as far as the table on the ball itself, that should be independent and adjustable as well as possible to disable separately (the steel of the ball will typically make it desirable for a higher setting than the PF clear coat). From what I can tell from a quick scan of the source code this is not the case currently and all 3 only have one parameter to define all of them.  Thanks still though for getting back to the table reflection on ball stuff that had been disabled earlier.

rev2217 is up:

- HDR texture support added

- finally fix ball<->playfield reflection (and enable it again)
- add "ReflectionEnabled" flag for each ball to enable/disable reflection for a specific ball. This feature only works if playfield reflection is enabled!
- fix glossy/specular environment part not properly rotating with table orientation. also implement rotation for diffuse environment part.
- slightly update lighting and replace ball image with HDR environment (example table)
- fix (hopefully) crash in JPs TOTAN
- add WIP script editor changes by brandrew
- extend with dynamic color grading

Alright while I experiment with the HDR environments I figured I would share some samples with people, maybe it'll help others...

from this link, I decided to try a few on my Sopranos build to see what happens. For this, all my GI lighting is set to white/full white (not how I had it set in the previous preview but it looks better with white lighting using these environments

http://www.smartibl....bl/archive.html

here's a link to a gallery of some samples with the hdr file names

Am I doing this right?

Please share any other free HDR environment resources you come across... a lot of these come out a little yellow/orange. Here's my lighting settings:
