Today, I have played Indiana Jones (Williams 1993) from the Monsterbash Pincab site with the latest beta and the ball wasn't going to the path of adventure. The ball just got past the path of adventure like on a jackpot shot. Anyone else having this problem. I'm sure, that it worked with rev 3584.

So.. some more tweaking and a partial revert, plus one bugfix later, everything should be fine now..

Not the same quality of the texture filtering as before, but at least better than earlier on..  :)

Fuzzel will hopefully do a new build at some point, and then @all please test again..

rev3592 is up:

- disable software-path mipmap generation with correct sRGB-aware filtering again, as its simply way too slow
- fix wrong light element texture sRGB-handling introduced via rev 3590

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

My stutter/freezes are gone with 3592 and the normal lights are now at normal brightness. The Firepower table seems brighter (almost a bit washed out) compared to before, can anyone else confirm this?

Same here guys... everything is happy again.

It really is appreciated when you guys try new things..and nothing is more of a bummer than when you work hard to try something new only to find it kills fps, etc. :(

We had similar thing with Pinup Player / Popper. A new feature is the ability to use Transparency with 24 bit videos with the Popper front-end and with PuP-Packs! VERY cool, and worked great on my faster PC in HD. When I got back home to test in my cab (which is slower) in 4K...not so much (it ran slow). Its an "option" still, but more for the future for faster PCs I think.... at least for 4K use.

Thanks again for your efforts!

There can be the effect that some tables seem to be a bit brighter in some spots. This is an intended change though, as before, depending on the chosen window resolution of VPX vs the size of textures used on a table, downscaled textures (on the average) were too dark. It's still not perfect now (as i had to revert one part of the changes due to the performance impact), but much better at least. Especially as that effect before was resolution dependent, as said, so very hard to workaround in practice for all setups (incl. DT vs FS vs FSS).

Nevertheless, if one of you guys sees a table where it seems to be too bright/weird now, please note the table here.

It would be useful to display the zoom scale on the bottom bar,
where is currently displayed the cursor position, object position, etc.

Thanks, happy holidays.

The very best option would be a side view of the table. It would help a lot to see the height and vertical positions of all objects, most important at primitives.

That would be massively helpful. But has it's been pointed out previously it would require a massive amount of work.

so we have this nifty camera feature so I can move in and around and see placement of stuff really nice.  what would be really helpful would be a memory feature so i could go back to the same viewpoint instantly by hitting a certain key or something, hit a different key to save a new camera view.  possible?

Would love to rotate the table on z axis, in camera mode.
