Could you reference the sound library, the same way you can materials or images? So for a ramp, have a dropdown the defines the sound choice? Things are always so easy on this side of the development process :)

Then what are you waiting for? Quit your job and work 24/7 on this! ;)

It's a pity we don't we have a "whale" (aka millionaire) in our midst who sponsors some programming time.......

I second fren's idea for a sound library from a drop down menu or even a folder location and be able to pick the sound you want when you use that material. I guess that is the way I imagine it should work ... in my mind .. lol
Thanks for the explanation and can't wait for beta 2113 .... hahaha

Couple of questions...  that I think I already know the answer to.  (no)  but figured I'd ask..  maybe new features?  :twiddling:

Can you change a primitive material via the script..  as in change the color of a post?  In 9.9 I was able to swap images to change the color of the posts in my New Wave table, but was wondering if something similar could be done with materials.

Can you change either the height of a flasher or the halo height of a light via the script?  So if you had a light (bulb) that move up and down you could move the light flash with it?

Can you change a primitive material via the script..

From commandreference.txt:
primitive.Image(string) - texture name

Try it! ;)

Can you change either the height of a flasher or the halo height of a light via the script?

Interestingly the halo height isn't mentioned in the commandreference at all. The other values are not marked as unusable in script, so that might be possible.
I tried .haloheight and .halo, both don't work.

Have you tried to add the light to a surface and move the surface up or down?

Thanks for the reply,  that would just change the image though correct?  not the material?  Currently I just have a red material with no image for the peg, but would like to swap it to a yellow material with an option (still no image)....  Something like this?

Sub SetPostColor ()

If PostColor = 1 then

PegPlasticT5.image = "Peg red"

Else

PegPlasticT5.image = "Peg yellow"

End If
End Sub

I have not tried assigning the light to the moving primitive.  I'll play around with both.

You can change the material for dynamic primitives. Just set the new material name like the image name.

in my head: texture (blender) = material (vpx). :facepalm:

tried:
droptargett4.material="Rubber Red"
works fine. name is case sensitive!

I thought Flashers were still in the "static" category - they have to be pre-rendered on the table, and thus can't be moved once the table is started.  (You could probably alter their properties, but that probably wouldn't cause a visible change.)

No flashers are 100% dynamic there is no option to make a flasher static. Walls are also dynamic if you use a transparent material the same goes for ramps.

Wait, so you can actually move walls and ramps around now?  (Not just change their visibility or drop them?)  Man, I really am behind the times. :)

Think I'm probably going to just drop out of this thread for the time being.  I don't feel I'm contributing very much.

Exporting ramps only exports the bottom and right side of the ramp or is it just me?

Problem solved

....................................................................................................................................

Hello,

Installed Ver. 2112 yesterday. Now the tables have no sounds and music anymore. An earlier version worked, but i cannot remember which version number it was.

Phys5 and VP9 both work.
