it should load whatever is in the fp-start.txt file and display it, or did I add that after the release version ?

anyway, new version should be around soon, has the graphic resize in, loads start and end picture from a text file, different shades as default (and you can change the mapping to suit your setup as well if you wish)

I just need to revisit the PinDMD1 code to use the same code for everything else as the version 2 does and hopefully ready for you to try out.

It does on the exit, but on the enter, as soon as FP starts to load it does that scramble thing. Not really a big deal though. The thing I'm loading is outside of that but whatever code the .dll is running is overriding it after I kill it

Update : I have made some changes to this, need to do some testing and hopefully be posted in the next week.

changes include

* loading text file to DMD works (no odd pixels anymore)
* resizes imagelist graphics using colour averaging algorithm - will now display up to 512x512 graphics in DMD
* different shade calculations, looks better - can be overridden with FP-SHADES.TXT file
* PinDMD version 1 uses 4 shades, PinDMD version 2 uses 5 by default - hopefully post 8 shade version for V2 sometime!
* stops caching textures once game has started

and possibly some others!

I really cant believe it, but I am playing as much Future Pinball as I do with Visual Pinball.  These additions make FP so much better, thanks

Just drop the DLL in the FP folder, and on some games you need to verify the DMD is DMD1 and is 128x32. Some will just work out of the box, others you will need to change a bit. Marco will be releasing the new DLL soon, it has a bit better coloring for PinDMD1 and will auto convert on the fly the newer tables. I thought he was putting it out yesterday, but soon I guess. :)

Spiderman, POTC, Dark Night works fine.

Can you give me a little help? :bye2:

@Manbo: Some tables do not have the backgalss DMD set as the first DMD so you need to edit them so that it is. Generally requires you to swap the DMD names from the backglass and table hud dmd. Also, make sure the DMD size is 128x32 (click it and look on the right side menu).

@Marco: one thing I noticed in some peoples videos is you have a splash screen. I do not see this on mine, I just get that garbled stuff. Is this maybe a differnce in code for PinDMD1 and v2? Or does that show up in place of the .txt file with non-dmd tables?

have you got the latest version (mind you, I just updated it!) - will try and update the copy in the file pool

loading of the text screen was fixed in that.

http://www.vpforums....showtopic=23186 for the recent version, although I have a version with a slight change since then, but it will not let me update the attachment!

In your picture, you see the top left DMD you have highlighted...on the right of the screen you can see what it is called "myDMD"

If you click the other DMD (on the bottom) see what it is named, and swap the names.
