I got a $27 PC/Xbox controller at Best Buy. It said you can Map the buttons, but you can't, not like my EG Smart USB Encoder that runs all my machines buttons along with JoytoKey.  All you can do is change the buttons on the controller so for example "A" will be "B" instead, then they don't let you even do that with the trigger or bottom buttons.

 

I spent about 4 hours trying for a workaround, but many of the controller buttons register as the same key press ....long story.

 

Has anyone done this? I used baller intstaller and also updated my stuff. If you know of a wired gamepad that I can just select keyboard keys with, or any other option, please let me know. Must be a wired USB controller. I like X-Box shape, not into Playstation pads. 

 

I want it to work with Pinnup Popper front end too, but if I get the VPX handled, the Pinnup Menu is already working with the tweeks I had pre-gamepad, it may just work.  

 

I have a kick butt 3 screen vertical pinball machine going...all I'm missing is a controller.

When I had my wallcade setup I simply configured VPX, FP, FX2/3 to use my gamepad.  I did not use joy2key.  All three programs natively support a gamepad.
