File Name: Firepower (Williams 1980)_Bigus(MOD)

File Submitter: bigus1

File Submitted: 30 Nov 2022

File Category: VPX/VPinMAME - MOD Tables

Author(s): Bigus1, DarthMarino, WED21
Manufacturer: Williams
Year: 1980
Permission to MOD?: Unspecified

This beauty from DarthMarino and WED21 is my first and favorite machine.
I went halves with my housemate and hired a new one of these when I was a teenager,
and I owned another 3 over the decades.
This is the drop target mod by DarthMarino and they can be enabled in the script.
I've given it a makeover.
1.1 has FlexDMD support added (Thanks Scutters and Mike Da Spike)
2.0 has a new playfield and lights for 10.8
Enjoy :)

Can't wait to try it. This was one of the very rare tables I had stutter issues with (the other being South Park).  I have over 200 others, with no problems.

This still stutters a tad for me, but it is notably more playable than the previous unmastered version (not that the previous version didn't look incredible!).  Looks great.

How can I get the flexdmd to remain at the size that I resized it to?  When I close/rerun the table, my flexdmd is about three times the size of what I resized it too.

Thanks

I already did. Line 1427 is ".AddActor FlexDMD.NewImage("Back","VPX.DMD_Frame")".

OK that's 1428 on mine, but I might have changed something on it. Anyway, you may an issue with FlexDMD. You can disable it at the top of the script and see how you go.

I have the latest version of FlexDMD, and most other tables that use it are working fine...

Hmmm, I ran it directly from the .zip that I published and got exactly that error. Tables usually run from the zip. I unzipped it to sus it out in the editor and it ran fine. My personal changes were to hide the VPM window only. I don't know what's up at your end, but I hope this offers some clue :)
