Tom Speirs has made everything for GameEx for free.
This included Access to FTP (upload and download), GameEx products, but also Media files download through GameList manager and/or Database Manager

Thanks for the heads up! Looks like I picked a good time to fall back down the rabbit hole.

 

I tried to access the FTP site. I just want to download the images that change what the wheel itself looks like. The overlay/underlay files.

 

The ones it comes with are just a pair of lines. I miss the old hyperpin looking one. For some reason I can't access the FTP site, though I did just create an account.

It's possible that new users require manual approval before FTP access is allowed.

 

I am able to connect with the gamemanager and download files. I only have a half dozen tables at this point.

 

I'm so happy I'll be able to automatically download rulesets and flyers. I just save an image of the playfield instead of a video as I play on a rotated monitor.
I love how you can save the image in the frontend and it automatically appears when you exit! I still remember all the monotonous time consuming work it took to setup Hyperpin.

I think basic members should be able to directly access the ftp without any approval.
You need to use your email address instead of your gameex account.

Within PinballX Database Manager, scutters and I created an FTP download as well, where you can test your login credentials.

Must be. There was a limitation. A.so on downloads.
I think with you minimal setup, you never realized it

Possibly not, i have not downloaded much
A few table sounds and some wheels.

I always just static screen shot the table backglass and DMD right in pbx itself, so that takes care of that media

And system/Manufacturer animated logos i think i mostly got from you and scutters
aith a few i just made myself

And loading screens i only have a few that are just animated gifs i made

 

So yea, not much there really, nothing fancy, no apron arts instructions and so forth
