Hi,

1st - thank you for this great tool!

...

I get the follwing error message with version 1.3.1 or latest from the package 3.3.1.

---

D:\Visual Pinball\VPinMAME\nvram>"d:\PinUPSystem\Utils\PINemHi\pinemhi.exe" afm_113b.nv

Unbehandelte Ausnahme: System.InvalidCastException: Ungültige Konvertierung von der Zeichenfolge  in Typ Integer. ---> System.FormatException: Die Eingabezeichenfolge hat das falsche Format.

--- Ende der internen Ausnahmestapelüberwachung ---
   bei Microsoft.VisualBasic.CompilerServices.Conversions.ToInteger(String Value)
   bei PINemHi.Module1.Main()

---
I'm using  VPinMAME 3.4 on Win 10   with  German region settings.

---

It looks like this error appears with every of my nvrams. Deletion and recreate did not solve the problem.

As I'm running out of ideas... any suggestions welcome.

Lars

Hi Lars,

Strange one this....as it happens to all nvrams.
Occasionally this occurs when an nvram is corrupted (solution is then to delete the nvram)
But you already tried that..
Officially vpinmame 3.3 is supported...maybe they made changes to vpinmame 3.4 that's causing this?
You could try if vpinmame 3.3 gives the same results

Are perhaps the " in the commandline the problem
They normally shouldn't be there

The " was a copy an paste error from my side... It was just arround the command.

I only tried to use pinemhi.exe manually inside the nvram directory. I also changed the VP variable in the ini file ... but it has not changed anything.

Is it possible that it is caused by german region settings? Maybe I'll give it a try to switch to en_US or something like that.

Ahhh - solved.

I tried it with switching settings to english (united states)... Same behaviour.

Then I tried it again manually.

cd to nvram directory and called the pinemhi.exe with the full path and nv-file as argument.

Same problem.

I realized that a pinemhi.ini file got created in the current directory which is empty.

Then I cd to the pinemhi directory and called pinemhi.exe again with nv-file as argument... et voila... :juggle:

Thank you!
