 as flashers do many things, it might help to start with asking about 1 thing you want them to do

Well, in simple, set an image to the flasher

uncheck that the flasher is visible

then in the script have it do

flashername.visible=1

and then after some time, flashername.visible=0

 

But depending on what you want to do, you may prefer to have the flasher flip images

 

like flashername.imageA="some pic"

 

And flashers can also have an imageB

 

You can also have the script change the flasher's amount and opacity, depending on the effect you want to achieve

For VPX most authors use light objects for flashers, although you can certainly use flashers if you want
