Howdy.

I've been working on a Visual and Audio MOD of the great Junkyard Cats table turing it into a Phantom of the Paradise table.
For those not familiar with this film - it's a crazy early work by Brian DePalma (one of his earlier films). Its a Rock Musical in the same vein as Rocky Horror Picture Show.
 

I believe all the music for the film was written by Paul Williams. He also stars in the film as the evil sold-his-soul-to-the-devil "Swan"

I created all the art for the table. It's pretty close to being finished, just some scripting adjustments.
Probably not a ton of interest in this table since its a strange film with a strange following. But I was struck by it when I first watched it around Halloween time in the 80's

Heh i remember watching this at the drive in, in like 1974
It was still running in the 80's?

This was on TV. I was halfway out the door and I caught this strange thing playing and thought: WTF is this?!

I had no idea what it was called. Then years later as an adult I caught it again. Had no idea it was Brian De Palma.

It's stuck with me ever since.
...Then of course Daft Punk would be inspired by it and create their robot helmets and compose a song with Paul Williams that sounds like it was pulled from the movie.

Heh - that was another oddity with this film. I knew who Paul Williams was from his various appearences on the Muppets and in Smokey and the Bandit films etc. 

So for him to be the villian - lol A very 70s movie for sure. The whole thing seems to have been concocted in a cocaine and alcohol fueled stupor.
