Hi all. Hopefully this is an easy one for most of you. I'm new here, so thanks for your guidance!

I'm just getting started on PinUp Player for my 3 screen setup.  I have Wizard of Oz working perfectly with Pup Pack videos showing on my 2nd screen back glass. On my 3rd screen, I'm displaying the topper, and Ultra DMD. I was hoping I could get this same setup to work with Stranger Things. I have everything working on Stranger Things except the topper. I can't get the topper to load. 

 

The topper video for Stranger Things is stored in my PinUpSystem\PupVideos\STLE\topper folder

I've already changed the script file to enable the topper for Stranger Things

If I start up the Stranger Things table, and press Alt-Tab, I don't see a window with the topper video, so I don't think this is an issue of my topper window being hidden from me. 

When I run PinUpPackEditor.exe, and try to load the STLE Pup Pack, I get an error saying "No Pup-Pack found for STLE, Would you like to create new one?" I'm not sure what to do at this step, since WoZ loaded Pup pack settings at this step without me having to create anything new. 

 

Thanks for your help! Simple issues like these can create hours and hours and hours of trial and error for guys like me!

STLE is a 'unique' PuP table as it uses table script for the entire control of the puppack... so no puppackeditor can be used with it.  (in fact it would be 'bad' to create a new one since its all done in script).

 

No idea about why, but you'd have to focus on table script and where you setup your default topper position in pup default config.

Thanks for your reply. I really appreciate the help. 

I'm afraid I screwed things up as I was doing a bit of trial and error. I created a new puppack in the editor for STLE. I'm not sure where that information is stored. Do you know how I can delete or undo that step? 

 

Do you happen to know where in the script I need to set the default topper position? So far, I've only modified line 77 to set toppervideo=1. I did a find command for "topper" in the script file, but It wasn't very clear where and what I would need to modify to set the default topper position.

Just delete the puppack and re-download
When you set up Pinup player where did you put your topper screen

Fyi...puppackeditor files are the 3 .pup files in root of pack

Okay, I've deleted the 3 .pup files in the root of the pack. So I'm back to a clean start. I've also deleted the puppack, and re-downloaded. Still no luck showing the topper.

I have my topper set as the top half of my 3rd screen, with the DMD on the lower half. This topper setup is through the PinUp Player Displays settings though. For Stranger Things, the script file controls the topper? I'm confused about how to configure the topper. 

For WoZ, the topper displays as it should. 

In the Stranger Things script file, I've already changed line 77 to read "toppervideo = 1". I don't see anywhere to set the topper X,Y locations in the script file. I'm not sure what else to try next.

Did you Alt-Tab to make sure it's not hidden

I turn on the topper in the table script and it shows up Where it's supposed to

Yes I've been doing Alt-Tab to see if the topper is even loading. No topper window is loading. 

What I see when I load the game is:

1. "Visual Pinball Player" for the main playfield - screen 1

2. "Pupscreen2" for the back glass - screen 2

3."Pupoverlay2" which is help/score text displayed on top of the back glass - screen 2

4. "Virtual DMD" - screen 3

 

No topper in sight. I'm stumped on this one.
