Hi Bigus,

first of all, thank you for giving this table this very nice look.

I experienced a ball stuck above the four craters on the top right corner.

Indeed, the ball isn't really stuck, nudging left or right it can roll left or right on the area above the upper crater, but it can't roll down no more.

Have a great day.

Massimo

Everywhere a ball rolls, there's fun!

Hi Massimo, I managed to get one on the apron the other day, but I figured that even real machines need the glass off every so-often for that kind of thing. Just adds to the realism (I tell myself) ;)  But, if it happens constantly, I will surely fix it. So, thanks for the heads-up and I'll monitor the situation.

Cheers :)

Crikey!

I'm spent on hearing the word 'Volcano' for at least a year in 30 seconds of play-time on this puppy.

Hi Bigus,

thank you for this update. I have poor sound (massive distortions), regardless the volume reduction in the table setting (music volume 100 -> 70) and direct D/A- converter setting (all reduced from 100% -> 75%) the distortion stays. But I have seen there are other roms available, up to date the table plays with vlcno_ax.zip. Does anyone knows a solution?

Sincerely, Christian.

Hi Christian, this is my setup - first go to line 69 in the script and change it to False, then fire-up the table and click on the VPM score window and press the tilde key to display the ROM settings. Use the arrow keys to scroll and change settings.  Leave Volume at 100, scroll down to SND DAC and make it 30, down again to VOTRAX SC01 and make it 70, then scroll down again and set each of the 4 MECH SOUNDS to 60. Tilde again to close window and change the script back to True when you're done. Also you can disable the background sound in the F6 options, although it will be lower with the above settings in the ROM.

Good luck :)

Hi Bigus,

thank you for your advise, however the sound remains as not good. A better result gives vlcno_1c.zip without speech and a few strange sounds like laying in an MRI tube ha ha ...

again thank you, greetings, Christian.

Which version of VPX should one be using with this 4.x version?   Currently using 10.8 and table locks up quite frequently when playing with more than one player.  All other tables play fine.  ROM checks out as good with VPMame.

Thanks in advance.

I can only vouch for 10.7 and VPM 3.5 atm.  Gottlieb ROMs can also be hit and miss.

I should have specified that it works fine single player, it only causes grief when there is more than one player.   I'll give it a go using X.7.  Thanks.
