Here's my Playfield & plastics redraw of the Atarians (Atari 1976)

I started making this playfield and plastics redraw because I couldn't wait any longer for this table's VPX existence or no one talks about this table has existed on VPX or not so I give it a shot.

The redraw is based on dboyrecords VP9 table adjusted to the Table's Blueprint taken from the manual because It was the only PF with the greatest quality out there.

 

This is an OPEN resource so anyone can

1. Edit or adjust my PF and plastics because they aren't 100% accurate due to lack of good resources throughout the internet.

2. Use it on their VPX build

This is my second time redrawing a PF and a first time I'm redrawing plastics.

I also provide a PSD file on this Google drive link to edit or adjusted the Playfield and Plastics as accurate as possible.

have to do a little color adjusting on graphics, but that will be last thing

 

1st i got to get it rebuilt and rescaled properly

Can you cut the plunger cover loose
bump it all the way to the right side of the image

then backfill to the apron where you cut it loose

then save an image with just the plunger cover

Full size, but just the cover itself visible

 

Scratch that, i just snipped it out

it worked ok

 

to fit actual ball dimensions, the plungerlane itself is more to the right than the plungercover extends to
it is also partly under the apron best i can tell

 

this aint going anywhere fast

table needs totally rebuilt due to being out of scale.

 

Looks like ass right now, but most of those parts need to get tossed out and new ones made

We will see when the table is far enough along to worry about it

for VP9 at the time this table was made, it was probably good

 

fast forward to VPX 10,8, and it is kind of a janky mess.

 

Scapping converting it, just going to start over.
cant really save any table objects, and the code is too antiquated, based on vp9 and an old old version of vpm

 

On the upside, i wont need any permission to mod, only Patrick's permission to use the art.

 

It is going to take a bit, if you guys want something worth playing.

I may hit you up for some color correction, based on this

But not yet, when i have a physical assembly of the table, i will send it to you, with the modified images to work from
there are some holes i punched in a few things and what not.
Like the apron i punched out, and put smoked glass in to get the LED displays under the apron instead of on top.

The one I had is from pinside unfortunately. Do you mean the existing backglass of the Atarians is by Wildman?

I'm more focused into the playfield and plastic redraws only and I may not be good at redrawing a Backglass. But let me try
