Just one thing, the backglass is making clicking noises while scoring. This should not happen, as this is not an EM table and there are no score reels.

Is it possible to correct this?

Edited by CARLOSGUIZZO, 31 October 2018 - 02:51 AM.

It's impossible only if you believe so. ;)

Do you have any idea how to solve the problem concerning the EM sounds made by the BG?

It's impossible only if you believe so. ;)

This question has been asked here before (https://www.vpforums...showtopic=30908), but without a solution.

Yesterday i experimented with the b2s vbscript file (like exit the "SetB2SScoreSounds" sub if exename = "Apache!" or if cGameName = "Apache_1978", among other things), but nothing worked.

Imo. Sounds can be only coming from VPX and not from directb2s ...

No. Those sounds are generated by the B2SBackglassServer software. You can test it: Just delete all sound files in the sound manager. You will still hear the reel clicks.

Wildman just gave some tips on what is happening with the Apache BG, that I will try to reproduce below.

The author used EM reels in the BG designer for some reason.

So, basically, the BG is acting like a EM and it’s using EM B2S commands to make the game work cause there’s no rom.

The way around the issue is to make the BG with rendered leds.

More or less, that’s it. ;)

Thanks a lot for your precious tips, Wildman!

It's impossible only if you believe so. ;)

I changed the EM Reels to a LED image set and now the annoying clicking is gone.

Yep, i also got the Info from Wildman, sorry for the late, but here complete:

The issue with the Apache BG is he used em reels in the bg designer for some reason, he does his bg's that way instead of using rendered leds,

so basically the BG is acting like a EM and its using EM B2S commands to make the game work cause theres no rom....

The way around the issue is to make the bg with renderd leds like 99% of all the BG's lol ;)

sorry guys i was out last days so i read only now

yes i confirm i used em reels so that i can make custom counters more similar to original ones

but i did the same in space shuttle with no "click problems"  maybe because space shuttle is an SS while Apache is an EM

if the only solution is to use render leds, ok i'll fix

If you're able to accomplish it with rendered LEDs, please tell me how you did it.

I had to do it with a LED image set; rendered LEDs didn't work.

Albert you talk about "a click" but i have a "bell sound" this is strange

rendered leds don't work for me too, but what is worst is that even using one of the default led sets sound remains

i made a try using table alone (deleting bg file from folder) and the sound is still there, and this is strange too

too many strange things i think i'll have to start bg from scratch

will let you know guys
