I am using a 700W PC Power Supply for 12V rails and have used a switch to control the ON/OFF using PIN 14 to GND as shown in numerous posts.

https://www.howtogee...s-power-supply/

However, LEDWiz is hooked to 5V rail and SainSmart to the 12V rail and pull a nominal amount of power when idle, which causes the PC Power Supply to come ON regardless of the switch.

Any thoughts on how to control the ON/OFF of the PC Power Supply? I do not want to open the PC Power Supply and re-wire the physical switch, but rather something else (if there is another option)

How about using a smart outlet or outlet with remote switch?

I use one of these things on the power supply on my guitar pedal board because it doesn't have its own switch...

That's pretty dang cool!!!

Who woulda thought? Not me. LOL  I would have taken an old PC cord, cut it in 2 then wire in a light switch.  :P
