I’m relatively new to using Backglass Designer & am having a problem.

I imported a file into Backglass Designer in order to make a lighting change. However I got a message “The following fonts can not be found on your system: ‘StarTrekGen Hv BT’. Maybe install these fonts & reimport the backglass file.” I clicked OK & was able to import the file & make the changes.

But when I “Save” the file it is only 3,255 KB in size compared to the original 4,523 KB. I thought this might be because it was missing a font. However in another thread (Alien Poker), xenonph did not have a problem with file sizes on this same backglass.

So I thought why not import and re-save a file without making any changes to see if the file size changes. I imported a file & went directly to “Save copy as”. and entered a Project name & Backglass file name. But a message displayed “Please import a new background image right now. This is necessary to move & resize all the bulb, reel & LED infos matching the new background image.”

But I didn’t change anything so what is being resized?
And of course I don’t have a new background image.

“Save” and “Save as” functions are usually pretty straight forward in how they work, yet I’m having issues.

What’s the correct way to save a backglass after making a change?

To save your changes and make new dB2S backglass,

Click "Backglass" tab....Then click "Create 'directB2S' Backglass"

As seen in pic..

A backglass file will then be created in a folder named "Projects" in the same folder that you started the backglass designer.exe from.

Hope this helps.
