Yes, the physics of all updated tables are great.

I would like to hear from fuzzel or toxie and their thoughts about the physics of these updated tables.  I like them a lot, but need more time to make a better conclusion.  (I do have a real dr dude and it plays so close its scary)

I think they are a huge improvement from the previous physics that the tables had. Keep up the good work.

Glad you guys are liking the table.

Regarding the yellow overcast light. Yes it is easily tweak-able or delete-able in the editor and is NOT tied to the script.

As far as overpowering on a white table. What you are seeing is a picture perfect representation of what it looks like on my real BBBB machine. I did side by sides and all to match it as accurately as possible. Obviously the intent is to make it look like the real thing in every possible way including the incandescent glow. But obviously I want everyone to enjoy the table in and have it display according to their preferences. But I will have the yellow overcast in all of my tables going forward.

Most of the physics on these tables is standard VP functionality.  The only part that uses non-standard coding is the flippers.  And without knowing the details of VP flipper code, the best way I can describe what we've done is to modify the strength curve of the flippers.

Is the incandescent glow.of your real BBBB due to all the little incandescent bulbs on the machine, or is it from incandescent room lighting?

Bulbs in the machine. Just like conventional household incandescent bulbs.

wrd1972, I dig the incandescent color temp on these machines. Nicely done.

Might be a few folks around here that would benefit from this: http://www.color-man...alibration.html

I don't believe it to be a calibration issue, it's simply a personal taste thing and some find the yellow hue too strong.  But like has been said, it's easy enough to remove or reduce it, so people can set it to suit their own taste.

This may have been discussed, but I can't seem to find info on reducing music on this table.  I tried going into the menu, but I don't see any buttons changing anything.  Only the 8 key goes into the menu, but then other keys don't seem to change anything once in the menu.  Only the 9 key returns the table to playable state.  I also read that on the real machine, there is a knob near the tilt bob.

Since we're playing a virtual version of the table, does anyone know if there is a way to reduce the music volume for this fun table?  I want to be able to hear the other sounds like gates and such, it's just that the music is too loud for my taste.

Thanks.

That is correct. The real BBBB has a pot for a volume control. No idea how to adjust volume.

Press F12 and enter a negative number as directed.

Press F3 to reset

or

Open the editor and adjust the music volume slider in the table options.  I have found that this "sometimes" doesn't work however.  The above is easier anyway.

...but that said,  this is where PMD comes into it's own, as music/voice volume can be adjusted separately from the mechanicals "on the fly".

Thanks Rusty, F12 worked great!  Another trick that I never knew about.

I have DOF in the cab, but I may need to try PMD to see what it's all about.

@connorsdad,

Here are my FS settings for BBBB.  Note, they are not perfect, but work for my setup.  Hope it helps!
