In real pinball, it's rare to find a table with a ball size that is different from the standard 1 1/16", but in visual pinball it seems that ball sizes are all over the place. Some tables have really big balls, and some not-so-big. For example, the ball in Monster Bash is like 20% larger than the ball in Judge Dredd. Is this static in the table design, or is it something in the VPX settings that I can change to standardize the sizes across all tables?

If the table is built with the correct measurements, such a large ball will certainly get stuck somewhere.

The size of the ball can be found in the scripts, 50 is the standard size, look for this

Const BallSize = 50

 

If you don't find what I said above, ask for help in the support thread dedicated to the table in question.

Also the tables comes in different sizes, normal sizes, widebody sizes, and the ball will look different on each table, since all the tables are shown on the same monitor. Also each author likes a POV different than others, so that will also make the balls look different.

Ball is same size in both of those tables

POV perspective may be different as well as table dimensions
