Hey guys, this PM5 version of Dr.Who plays really well and I can get pretty deep into destroying the Daleks and getting to the emperoror - Davros - section. However, a ball gets lost every time and I am unable to continue as the ball search does not kick a ball back into play once the Davros multi-ball is over. Really disappointed since I am getting pretty close to completing all the doctors!

Can someone check it out and see if they can fix it?

Dr. Who is my wifes favorit Flipper. Yesterday she gives the PM5 version a try and really loves it but runs into the same problem. She added a ball after every multiball game ;)

Is really no one out there to fix that problem?

I spend some time to look into this problem today. I found two solutions:

1) The easy way is to copy the PM5 Physics to the latest VP9.9 Dr. Who ;)

2) At the PM5 version, change sw38, sw68, sw88 from kicker to trigger radius 15

The problem with the missing ball is that each of the kickers in the time expander destroy a ball and add it to the tardis stack.  The problem is that sometimes two balls simultaneously get destroyed but only 1 gets added to the stack resulting in a lost ball - the game never finds the ball because it's not stuck it's missing.

In the VP9 mod I did I changed the kicker radius to be smaller (as noted above) which prevents 2 balls from hitting the kicker at the same time and I've never seen a ball get lost.

Try changing the radius and see how you go.  If it still happens, there's another method to stop it but I'd need to look at the table again as it may require some additional walls to bounce the ball back out when the switch is disabled for a second and then re-enabled after the first ball hits the kicker.

Try the above first though :)

Thanks guys for your feedback. Going to try the fixes suggested here in the script and see if I can stop the lost ball error.

Dozer, any chance a VP10 version of Dr. Who is on your radar? :)

A while ago I did an upgrade on the VP9 version to include a 3D time expander with moving dalek targets which worked out ok. (not finished yet).

At some stage I might port this to VP10 but it will be a way off as I have some other projects to do with other authors.
