File Name: Astro (Gottlieb 1971)

File Submitter: BorgDog

File Submitted: 28 Jan 2016

File Category: VPX Recreations

Author(s): BorgDog
Manufacturer: Gottlieb
Year: 1971
Permission to MOD?: Yes, without approval

Since this is the US version of the export Star Trek I previously released, the following is basically copied from that table.  Only a few differences mainly where you are shown balls to play.

This is an add-a-ball game only.

hold down left flipper key for a couple seconds to open the option menu (inspired by loserman76 and gnance)
Many thanks to sliderpoint and StevOz for physics and bug testing!
Thanks to Plumb on vpf for the Astro playfield scan that started this.

directb2s included
DOF enabled

FS settings in the table are for my cab which has the playfield in portrait mode, most of you will need to adjust the Backdrop settings.

Here is a starting point for those of you running it the wrong way     :tongue3:    I can't vouch for how well it looks.

The error is on this line....

If B2SOn then Controller.B2SSetTilt 33,0

Perhaps you dont have directb2s file in your tables directory?

If you dont use directb2s then you have to hack the file user/controller.txt and set the first line to =1

forcedisableB2S=1

Well, you don't have to "hack" the file, just edit it, it's just a text file no hacking required :)

Do you use a backglass monitor?  If not edit the controller.txt file and change the first line like allknowing2012 states above.

So then I'm pretty sure it's the Controller.txt file.  It is found in Visual Pinball\User.  Edit the first line of that to read forcedisableB2S=1.

Hi,

Thanks for this nice table, but IMHO it holds a flaw.

When a game ends, gameover and tilt are lit, but don't start blinking,

the following start of a new game then goes wrong.

Moving ballreltimer.enabled=false from line 504 to line 471

(right below sub ballreltimer_timer) fixes it.

regards,

Jan

Hey, thanks for catching that, I don't think I noticed that before.  Same error in the Star Trek version of the table as well.  I'll get some updates up at some point, a couple other things I'd like to tweak as well.
