Hi folks,

most of you, having ledwiz and knocker, will surely know this issue: when you insert coin knocker will activate... if you insert 10 coins knocker will activate 10 times..

you have to open rom, standard adjustment and in 56 option set q24 as knocker. until here everything's ok.

a lot of stern tables don't have this option  (austin powers for instance) so i must manually deactivate knocker in directoutputconfig.ini --> in table lane substitute s24 with 0.

2 questions!

 

- is there another mode to edit those tables and let knocker work for replay and not for coin insert?

- if not is there an option in dof configtool to deactivate knocker in all tables in which rom settings is not possible? because every time i must go in dof congfigtool and download new directoutputconfig.ini (cause arngrim put new tables), so i lose all tables in wich i sat 0 instead of s24.

 

in this moment every time i download every time i download directoutputconfig.ini i must or insert new tables (to preserve my edit) or edit again all stern tables.

sorry for constantly adding new tables

the configtool allows you to have a private config per table, so you can adjust this only once for each rom, go to table assignments page
in my case, all my roms are free play

Ahah. no worry man. Dof update are so quick
I'd like to see my friends put (mine coins) inside and play. So I don't like free play.

So if In table assignment I delete knocker variable only for table have this issue... Every time it will generate .ini without knocker for those tables?

yes,configtool can do that since the beginning

in stern roms you assign, from memory here so I might be wrong, option 24 from 'ticket', i think to 'knocker' in the ROM settings.

Now it will not knock from inserted credits but do when you get replay

no roms like austin powers don't have the option as he said

yes i know gstav. i write in the first post. problem is not all tables could be edited.

for instance austin powers and jurassic park the lost world couldn't do this.... so the options are 2: set free play in rom or disable knocker (it won't works when you win a replay).

sorry for resuming thread, arngrim now i'm in dof configtool, i select in table configs rom blackout, delete s14 knocker (yes i have for this rom same issue of stern roms), save changes, generate config.... but every time s14 is write in private config... it is like if it doesn't save changes.... but n port assignemtn it works great

tried just now on another pc, i had the same problem than you, i refresh the page and it it working, i made changes beginning of the week and the browser kept an old version of the site that communicates to the server that has the last version
refresh the page, f5, do also shift f5 and ctrl f5 to be sure

Thanks Nicco for bringing this up. I've been meaning to do something about the same tables so now I'll use the private DOF config as arngrim suggests. Thanks all.

Sorry for not understanding, but can i have stern games still knock when free game is earned and not when "coins" are dropped in Key 5, with DOF Configtool?

yes, for almost all the games except 2 or 3 tables like austin powers, no need for change in configtool but from service menu of the roms
