File Name: BK2K VP92x

File Submitter: melon

File Submitted: 07 Jan 2014

File Category: VPinMAME 9.x Recreations

Author(s): melon
Manufacturer: Williams
Year: 1989
Permission to MOD?: No

Recreation of Williams Black Knight 2000.
After 2 years away from VP, I'm back with this table.
Requires VP9.2 or higher. All the lighting is done with alpha ramps.
Thanks to Francisco666 for the textures from his FP version. Thanks to Lio and LH for their previous versions, as I've used them as a reference. Thanks to JP for the lighting system, elements, sounds, textures, routines... without you this wouldn't be the same.
This is the desktop version, made for a 4:3 (or 5:4) monitor. If you have a 16:9 monitor, change the XScale to 0,7875 (in the Backdrop view)
The FS version will be ready as soon as I fix my cabinet, I hope only a few days.
Enjoy.

It happens sometimes, still don't know why, but you can solve it restarting Visual Pinball.

Thanks for a great release (well I haven't played the desktop version yet, but I rotated your WIP and it played and looked great).  I really love the music in this table.  So glad to have you back melon.  Are you planing any other releases?

I think you need to skip the startup test to have all the sounds.
Looking forward the fs :)

AMAZING WORK!!

Wow. Really nice job melon. I was never a huge fan of this table but loved the first one, but you have made me appreciate this one now.

One thing i noticed is that the ball in the bottom right kicker hole(sw40 ) could be raised a bit so as to not cut off the ballimage? It is hard for me to get the ball in there to really have a look, but it appears cut off.

Excellent table.

Cheers,

Maceman

superb, a beauty, but... and its NOT your fault, that table (as the real pin) is a 1 shoot pinball (on the lower playfield) : play on the upper level, once the ball fall down, control & stop it on the right flip, and shoot for the left ramp

again, again, and  again... until you could missed, only caused by a lack of concentration, or while in multiball

thats a pity, really

btw, again, nice job on it ;)

Yeah, it will be solved in the next revision.

I have to agree. I played this table when I was a child and I didn't notice. But now I see the table is so easy. If you want to make a high score the only thing you have to do is control the ball when it comes from the upper playfield and shot the left ramp, and it's an easy shot.

Thanks for a great release (well I haven't played the desktop version yet, but I rotated your WIP and it played and looked great).  I really love the music in this table.  So glad to have you back melon.  Are you planing any other releases?

I'll release The Getaway in a few days and after that I'll work again on WCS94. After those ones I'd like to make IJ, TZ, CFTBL or TOM (at least one of those)

It's awesome..thank you!  Some minor things:  i agree that the game is too easy to continue from the right underflipper to the upper playfield again and again.     Left upper ramp for locking balls is very difficult to shoot    and the pop bumpers and lights look a bit flat....hope you can fix it in the next awesome release!
