Using the second monitor I don't need anymore DMD on the main screen.

Is there an easy way to turn it off?

I have seen many people has this problem is it seems a little bit complicated to do it.

Thanks

Simple you dont really turn it off you just size the screen so that the speaker panel is pushed off the bottom of the screen.. or you can right click on it in the editor and unlock it then drag it off the table if you still want the panel on your backglass..

Thanks for your answer.

I don't see nothing on the editor about DMD.

Resizing the pinbal in arcade mode full screen, the DMD never goes out of the screen. It is impossible to play with some pinball.

Who develope the Future Pinball? Because I think there are necessary these things:

- Turn off by preferences the DMD and score on the main screen.

- In full screen arcade mode, it is a madness to resize manually every single table.

You can Download BAM for FP it will help size tables..

you have to go into the editor and drag the dmd off the table.. right click on the dmd and unlock it then move it off the table and then play the game.

Bam a also the solution for put in any physics you want using without a modified exe and really a must have for FP users (post fx, change lights like night mode, real 3d, kick back, Trail like in Pinball fx2............) :juggle:

Can we just rewind for someone newish like me? :db:  I've just set up the dual screen play. The back glass and DMB look and work fab in monitor 2, but the bottom half of the back-box  along with the DMB is duplicated onto the play-filed (monitor 1). The only options I see to resize is by pressing F1 to F8, none of which will leave the play-field looking like VP FS tables with the just the entire play-field filling the screen (without the table tapering towards the top). How do I resize the table so only the play-field is visible in monitor 1?

There has got to be a bit more to it than that. When I go into the video / rendering options and enable Arcade mode the game starts and all i can see is the bottom right hand corner of the table in the bottom left of the screen. The back glass remains fine. So it brings me back around to resizing. How do I re-size the table whilst in arcade mode so the table fill the screen?

Quick writeup:

1 - In Video/Rendering options make sure you have your Playfield set to a monitor and the proper resolution. Check Full Screen and Arcade Mode.

2 - If you have a 2nd screen (for backglass) enable "Use Second Monitor for Backbox" and then click Backbox, choose your monitor (Monitor 2 most likely) and choose resolution.

3 - Launch game

4 - In-game press Scroll Lock to bring up the scale/translate options for Backglass and Playfield

5 - use the number 8, 2, 4, 6 from your KEYPAD to move and scale and use PageUp and PageDn to switch between Scale / Translate for Playfield and Backglass.

Cheers open6l working a treat !! Almost there....

So the table now fits the screen area, but the tables all appear disproportionate with the top play-field supper sized and lower play-field cramped up. Take a look at this image what do you think?

shu8.png

In the monitor adjust mode the translate is 517.00 / -1148.00

Scale -2.08 / 2.08

I've tried various combinations of these settings but can't get the perfect look? The above is the best I can get it looking. My default screen resolution is 1920 x 1080 Which is the recommend setting by the PC.

My rendering options are as follows, just to clarify I have all the right ticks in the right boxes.

z3f1.png

Is this the best the tables can look in arcade mode? Or do I have some element set wrong? It's me isn't it? So how do I fix this?

in the older build of FP 2008 (which had an expiration date coded into the executable) you had the ability to adjust the lighting and angles which helped immensely with the point of view angle. In the latest official build of FP this feature was removed by the program author (for whatever reason). The only way to restore this feature is to either use an adding called BAM by ravarcade OR you can install the older build of FP and rollback your clock.

here is an example showing the difference between 2 angles just to explain better.

Doesn’t BAM require cameras? I don’t want to over complicate things.

I now understand why whenever I’ve seen one of these virtual cabinets they have always used a limited amount of tables. There are 100’s of tables available in desk top form, but not so many conversions to full screen.

So for any cabinet build I’m basically looking just at the FS tables in VP. That's a shame because I'm quite keen to some of the FP tables.

No - BAM does not require cams at all. Aside from 3D it also provides a ton of other features that do not require the need for cams.

OK I shall look into BAM, my build has been temporarily set back seeing as my cheap and cheerful PC which was just about adequately working has now died with a flashing amber light. I've searched on the  internet and it advises on either problems with the power source or a faulty motherboard. I think it's the motherboard. So instead of buying the playfield HD TV this month the money is going back into a new PC.

I'm going to search now for advice on the best PC spec too as I want this cabinet to run well with 3 monitors.
