How would I edit a directb2s or b2s backglass screen. I would like to remove the grill on a few of them and I am not sure how I would edit the graphic file or where it is stored.

 

Also what application is used to create one?

You will have to wait until Herweh releases the B2S Designer, which will be soon. Then you can do all of what you mentioned.

Most of the recent dB2Ss have been created so that the grill should be automatically removed if you are using a 3 screen setup. This is set inside the editor.

 

You might want to check your screenres file is correct, so the server knows how many screens you are using.

Ya i was wondering if you could just convert a backglass jpg to flash or animated gif if it would show up if you renamed it with directb2s extension. It would be nice to have at least a static backglass for some games that haven't even been modded to FS, Like Jungle Lord. i doubt there will be a Jungle Lord Directb2s release when there hasn't been a FS table released. Some of us rotate and scale single screen games for FS.

Even if you don't have 3 screen setup - but 2 screen setup - you can force remove of grill with db2s options without editing backglass - click on backglass, press s and check all options to remove grill and see which one works for you

You can use image or flash already - but you have to use hyperpin - with hyperpin if you put flash video in backglass directory hyperpin will show it on the screen (flv or f4v, don't remember)

THANKS!!! Will try this tonight... as for my screenres file, I assume it is correct as I have no problems displaying the DMD on the 3rd monitor, but I can post it if needed.
