I was just reading that very good piece on Roger Sharpe in the Pinball Magazine the other day and went strait to VP to check out his sharpshooter afterwards. It really was in dire new of some tlc. Lo and behold, two days later this turns up :otvclap: Looks like a great update to a table that has real historic significance. Can't wait to try it out. Thanks so much for doing this

Cracking table Bodydump!!!  :)

like waspstar I also recently read the Roger Sharpe piece in Pinball magazine, that was until our son spilt his juice all over it :(  Did you get chance to read this piece?

This table plays really well. Your physics setting compliment the BMPR routines like a hand in glove. It's a joy to look at and play. First class stuff mate :good:

Guess you can now 'ramp' up the work on Airbourne, terrible pun I know... :facepalm:  This is also looking great bythe way.

Cheers! :drinks:

Coney Island would be an EXCELLENT choice for an update!!!

BTW- I really like the fact that your script included options to the 3 choices (vpmame, UVP, or B2S...

I like that he led timer was already rewady and in place. I am wondering however if the LED info should be added to the script and rem'ed out? I normally leave it at the bottom of the script (maybe you do have it and i missed it?).

If we all did this, it would save people time going to look for this:

Sub Leds_Timer()

Dim ChgLED
ChgLED = Controller.ChangedLEDs(&Hffffffff, &Hffffffff)
End Sub

Just an observation! An almost perfect script template here imho!

Maceman

ps. Also, If people could kindly remember to add the XML info th the Hyperpin Media Pack Page, it would be EXTREMELY helpful to save us time as well!

Have the cab up now and going to play this now :)

Cheers,

Maceman

Yea I meant to include the LED script but I built the desktop version first and it used different LED script for the backglass scoring and I forgot to add the uvp LED script when I converted to FS.

Credit for the selector script goes to Koadic for writing it and JimmyFingers for adding it to my table.

Beautiful.  I was looking for a better backglass.  Guess I have to redo the backdrop on the desktop version now. Thanks.

Beautiful table, thanks for sharing.

Attached is the updated .uvp file for the backglass image that Grizz posted. Also, a properly named table image in .PNG format for the media pack if bodydump wants to upload an updated version, since the current pack contains a .JPG file with a wrong file name.

The lamps are still not 100% right... the 'Ball in play' lamp is not correct, at least it doesn't light up during gameplay, only in attract mode. Also, the '1 MILLION' texts above each player's score are assigned to lamp 0 which cannot be right, since my guess is those should only light up when the score exceeds 1 million points. I'm not aware of a good documentation for the lamp numbers to find out what are the correct ones.

I was wondering anyway: how is it possible to figure out the lamp numbers? Is there a good test mode or something like that?

Oh, and also: for some reason, the first ball always awards an extra ball on the first touch of any scoring object. I don't think that's right either...

Edit: UVP removed - see my next post for the UVP with the correct lamp codes.

All Gameplan games award a replay at the first scoring switch, unless you go in and set the replay levels in the romset.

Thanks.  My cabinet is currently in pieces so I didn't test the uvp or media pack.  Thanks for the heads up.  I'll fix the media pack upload.  All the lamp numbers are in my script, clearly marked.  The manual doesn't have them listed.  Most I got from the old table.  Some like the million numbers, I put lamps with all the unused numbers on the PF and played all players to a million points to find the numbers.  I have no UVP experience but someone could fix it with the numbers from my script.

Thank you for the heads-up regarding the lamp codes in the script - that made my job very easy. Attached is the updated UVP with correct lamp codes. I also tried to get the overall lighting closer to the illuminated backglass photos I was able to find.
