Easter Egg Flipper Codes Tutorial

Version: 1.0.0
Category: Tutorials

Author(s): Wizards_Hat

Description:
How to add hidden flipper codes into your script
Many pinball games allow the flippers to be used to enter codes and display hidden messages (or "Easter Eggs")
This table shows how to enter codes for yourself
All the codes on this table are 4 digit numbers.
The ability to enter numbers starts when both flippers are pressed together.
The number of left flipper presses is then counted, and stored by pressing the right flipper.
After the last digit is entered, the right flipper must be pressed again to execute the hidden message
for example the message "Hi Dan" uses the number 5174
To see the message the flippers must be pressed as follows:
Both flippers together - 5 left - 1 right - 1 left - 1 right - 7 left - 1 right - 4 left - 2 right

You've never run into the easter eggs in the various pinball machines? Some even have embedded messages that fire on specific dates. I started up Scared Stiff last week and got a birthday message for someone, for example.

Here's a bunch of them.

Wow! I never knew of these either! I knew video games tend to have them
but not pins. So all the ones here that use roms will work with these codes?

Accessing Williams/Bally WPC - Hidden Menu
------------------------------------------

Did you know that all WPC Machines have a hidden menu?
Yes, it's true. To access it, you must leave the bookkeeping menu while
holding down 'up' [9] and 'down' [8] buttons. i.e. press 'Enter' [0] three
times, so that "B1. Main Audits" is flashing as the selected choice
Now hold down 'up' [9] and 'down' [8] and press 'escape' [7].
If you did it correctly, you should see a new choice on the menu:
EXEC LOCKUPS - B.1 01..... Using the normal Up/Down keys you can cycle through
the other new choices...Try this on your real machine at home too!
