if properly modified will a 2.2 single core have the juice to run 2 monitors and play descent?

Since there were no UVP available for Stern's Trident, I made this quick hack out of the Flying Dutchman's static BG.

It is not looking so great, but since there so few ressources available, I had to cope with the backlighted photo from FD.

I have no rights to upload it in the download section so you can grab it here :
http://www.mediafire...lhnpi454su34riq

Until a better one gets released, it would be nice if someone with upload rights could put it in the download section.

Thanks.

Normally, I would have pointed you to a thread which if you clicked on the link you would have the procedure display how to change the number of balls. However, due to the upgrade of the forum software the procedures are not currently available. However, here is the procedure to change the number of balls per game:
  • Press F6 to bring up dipswitch menu
  • In the balls per game section, click on the radio button to select 3 balls or 5 balls
  • Click OK button to save changes
  • Press F3 to reset the table
Hope this helps.

It works for me.

You have to add LEDS timer to table and to script.

Here are my short general instructions for uvp conversion:

in table script replace line:
Set Controller = CreateObject("VPinMAME.Controller")
with:
'Set Controller = CreateObject("VPinMAME.Controller")
Set Controller = CreateObject("UltraVP.BackglassServ")

hide dmd +
fix rotation (specially for jpsalas tables) +
uvp will speed up if it is on first screen (eventhough it's hidden):
With Controller
 .Hidden=1
 .Games(cGameName).Settings.Value("rol")=0
 .Games(cGameName).Settings.Value("dmd_pos_x")=0
 .Games(cGameName).Settings.Value("dmd_pos_y")=0
 .Games(cGameName).Settings.Value("dmd_width")=226
 .Games(cGameName).Settings.Value("dmd_height")=86

other way to change dmd position:
.SetDisplayPosition 0,0, GetPlayerHWnd 'restore dmd window position
or
.SetDisplayPosition 0,0

add to the end (if it doesn't exist):
Sub Leds_Timer()
 Dim ChgLED
 ChgLED = Controller.ChangedLEDs(&Hffffffff, &Hffffffff)
End Sub

create "Leds" timer object on playfield with period 50 (if it doesn't exist)

thanks for reply. i am already familiar with all the stuff above. i think the uvp backglass should work out of the box without creating a timer, they usaly do

Dmd tables work without it and many alphanumeric tables already have a similar timer from the desktop versions (lampstimer, ledstimer).
But some still need "leds". :)
