Friendly reminder to backup your cabinets. HD failures can happen!

I posted this in another topic recently, but I thought I would make a new thread just in case there are those out there that don't know that you can backup your pinmame registry files. This will allow you to move your setup to a new pc and let you bypass the pinmame legal screen for each table. It will also backup all of your DMD positions.

Go into the registry (Start menu/run/regedit):

HKEY_Current_User/Software/Freeware/Visual Pinmame. <<-- Right click on the Visual Pinmame folder and hit 'export'. Once all of your tables are back on your new setup, you can then just run this exported registry file
on the new system.

As I had often written here my suggestion to Backup a vpin based on windows:

the link to my post and script to backup the user-specific registry keys https://www.vpforums...ndpost&p=545480. of course not the system keys in HKLM etc.

for backup & restore of a vpin I would suggest to use a tool like "EaseUS to backup free" from EaseUS. Install this program on the vpin, create a recovery stick and backup the disk to an external usb-HDD or stick

Take a look at mx docu, link in the footer. There are all scripts I had written incl. detailed installation procedere and background infos

My documentation for installing vpin software with PinUpsystem (Baller installer): https://mega.nz/fold...wAXZlOEMQGbdutQ

Files and PDF-docu in the subdir "Installation vPin-Software with Baller-Installer"
