Cosmic Princess VP91x 1.02

Version: 1.0.2
Category: VPinMAME 9.x Recreations

Author(s): jpsalas

Description:
Based on the table by Stern from 1979
Thanks to Jolo and Leo for suggesting this table, and to DedRok_V for the pictures of his machine.

I have tried to adjust the table to the gameplay I saw in a video at Youtube. But as usual in my tables, it plays fast and furious smile.gif

Update 1.01
-Fixed two defective bulbs smile.gif

Update 1.02 14 May
- fixed two switches and the bumpers to give the right score.

These are my tables, sorted by date, all them playable with VPX 7 or newer:

After 18 years making tables, it is time to take a rest and let new authors do their thing.

I guess at last I'll play some more pinball :). But I'm sure I'll make some table updates from time to time :)

Thanks for the quick update.

I have a problem.

The lower Special is not working.
If the ball goes through the Special, Special lamp is allways on and I get no Freegame or 100.00 points.

Hi JP!
Firstly I would like to thank the great work! Worship.gif
Well, with the only intention to help and with all respect to you because I'm your fan...
Not that I don't agree about your table to be "fast and furious" smile.gif . The table is yours, I know.
But, my first impression was that thable had much friction... 0,95... the ball was stopping abruptly on flippers. So I made a few changes very quickly in physics without adjusting the flippers and elasticity / strength of rubbers and walls, etc (I mean that could have been even better):

Table:
Global Difficult: 0
Accelerometer gain: 1

Backdrop:
Dampening Speed: 60
Dampening Friction: 0.75

Now compared to the real...

Cosmic Princess

Respectfully,
Billy

Thanks for your tips, billyrjse, I guess many will benefit from your findings smile.gif

If the Special doesn't work, then maybe press F6 and check the options (as always I forgot to mention the DIP switches routines by Inkochnito !) So, press F6, set your options, press F3 to restart the ROM.

Thanks you JP!

This is pinball to me.... No ramps hiding the playfield and just returning the ball to the flipper, no toys, no gimmicks at all, just great artwork and a great layout. This is the era when they were pretty much perfecting the game of pinball in my opinion. smile.gif

Fantastic job on this table!

This was one of our favourite , most played tables when growing up.
Little did we realise at the time that it was a limited release.
Pinball of this era is well loved. smile.gif

DedRok, I been looking for good images of this rare table for years. Great that you shared them with JP, but could you share them with the public as well? Or at least me? I have reasons other than VP to collect good high res pics, & I just enjoy collecting pics, & who knows if somebody will want to make their own VP version in a few years.
Right now, there isn't any good pics around. Even IPDB only has a few of them, & they are very low rez.

Also, what other tables do you own?

Is this a bug or an error on the playfield art.

The target right below the left spinner says it Spots 2. It actually spot's the 5 light. The 2 gets spotted when you shoot up the left spinner.
