Thank you for the links also (Try disable at91jit in registry for that rom ... might be it

\\hkcu\software\freeware\mtl_170c\at91jit - set it to 0) as this did fix the crashing at start up the sounds stutter really bad with this set to 0. Any fix for sound when this is set to zero? I can get the game to run sometimes with it set to 1 and plays fine, but most of the time will not start. Thanks

For what I've seen, dat files has always followed the patch files. Mind you though. I've seen them with different filenames. So, the file with the .dat extention needs to be renamed.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

Those only work with a real pin-2-dmd and not with other display types.

I have a p2dnd and it worked fine with the old firmware and the dat file. But after updating the firmware the colors are not the same. And rename the files and also try saving it with the exe

I just tested it with vpm 2.9 latest dmddevice.dll and the pal files in altcolor. I did´t see any problems.

Could you give an example.

The problem is that the colors are changed depending on the previous animation. And it appears in the last color. Example: the animation is blue and looks good, but the following animation is blue and does not match

Did you generate a new pal file using the editor or rename the dat to pal ?

Tested in both ways and the result is the same. Also with new versions of vpinmame.dll does not work any stern table with pi2dnd

Which would be the proper driver for p2dnd. I have no problems in windows 10 for stern tables, but if wrong colors in potc, shrek and mtlpro. In windows 7 do not work stern tables

To the best of my knowledge, the best drivers for colored DMD on the pi2dnd ;-) .... is at the developer thread.

Probably a good idea to head over there and ask Lucky1 this question. Don't run pi2dnd myself, so, I'm not 100% sure.

I play in FS mode on one monitor, so the playfield and dmd are on the same monitor.

Because of this i need to be able to rotate the dmd to the left, so the 'rol' or 'ror' option for vpinmame.

Is there a way i can do this with the dmdext dmd? I only see an option to flip the image but no option to rotate.

It looks like your correct DeWim. I would go to github and ask for this as a feature request if it isn't posted already. DMDext and dmddevice.dll is still under development.

Because most of colorizations are done for Stern machines this is discussed in the "other" forum which is blacklisted here

Yes. I wrote a wiki page over at randr' site.

http://vpinball.com/...-dmddevice-dll/

Except this - if you're updated - you go to the universe site, a archive with 400+ altcolor palette files, search for "color palettes collection" and you should be good to go. Looking for the color roms - look at what sensless wrote a few articles back. or http://vpinball.com/...e/rom-patching/

I was wondering if someone could help me. I am having trouble getting the colored DMD to appear in my Pinball games. (I am running a virtual DMD on a virtuapin minicab.)  I'm testing it with the Avengers table. I created the avs_170c file via the instructions and patch. Tested it in vpinmame and the test runs well- it pops up in full color. Looks great! I copied the 1.5.2 version of dmdext into my vpinmame directory and changed my Avengers table to "use external DMD" -- I changed the line in the Avengers script to read "Const cGameName = "avs_170c" but when I load up the Avengers table, I get a "No DMD Device Driver Found" -- any advice? Thanks for any help! Regular DMDs run perfectly for all of my tables, it's just when I attempt to run a colored DMD I get this error.
