HI all, I have 10.2 Final 2884. From what I could see in the 10.2 beta thread the last beta was 2881 (I may be wrong on this but I went to my usual post of http://www.vpforums....=1#entry350690)

When I try and open the table I get an error - Line 1 Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of collection. Parameter name:index.

I had this error on other tables after my fresh install today but fixed it with dragging old controller.txt and controller.txt files to the user directory under VP.

Not sure what to do in this instance? Cheers. Jason.

EDIT - So I got the same error on Evil Knievel, with some tinkering, I changed all the settings in the new DOF controller options (I don't have DOF) to SoundFX only.

This enabled me to play EK and load Ghostbusters, but I can't get it to play. The Backglass comes up, the DMD comes up but the game still gives the line 1 error.

I'm afraid I can't be of much help, since controller.txt is a component of b2s, and I have never used it. But there are a lot of info in the site about b2s, and most of all you should take a look at the new method of loading vpinmame, b2s and dof using the controller.vbs. The table calls the controller.vbs, and it is up to you to configure it. Arngrim has a lot of info in this thread: http://www.vpforums....showtopic=34429

Thanks JP, I'll keep looking into it. Gargamel Park isn't working so my kids aren't happy, I know its my setup, just hoping someone may have had similar issues. I'll keep searching and thanks so much for the reply.  :coffee1:

Nope, no luck. Still getting the error on this and gargamel on latest versions. Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT - Found the error causing the Line 1 Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of collection. Parameter name:index.

It was running VPX as an administrator in Windows 10.  All tables now resolved, except the hi scores are now giving me grief. I will check the previous pages for this now, this table, Gargamel and Triple Strike.

Hi JP, I still cannot resolve the hiscore issue on this table and gargamel park.

Both give me script errors on hiscore, I have opened up all the permissions on the VPX file, is there another file I need to enable permissions on in Windows 10?? i.e. does the hiscore get saved in another file. I am not using pinballx just running the table directly through VP10.2 Final.

Not sure what this error is or why I get it? Any help would really be appreciated.

Check that you have a folder called User in your Visual Pinball folder. If not, then create it, and make sure you have full rights to this folder. VP will create a file in this folder, called VPReg.stg, where many tables will save its data there.

Thanks JP, that was it. Permissions in Windows 10 are killing me. Thank you so much for taking the time to respond and help me out. Very much appreciated.

Sparky - To stop auto launces of tables - Under the Preferences Menu / Editor options / Take the tick off 'Start VP with file dialog open to directly play'.

Dof flipper error means you need to update the vbs scripts.

Or if you have already updated to the latest scripts, then you have multiple copies of the controller.vbs file in the scripts and tables folder. Delete the old one

thanks gtx,

just added the new controller.vbs, and that fixed it...thanks!!

any other VBS files i should update?

New controller.vbs is supposed to be backwards compatible, so you should be fine there

Any other VBS files I should update?

I am not sure I understand the question.  If you download a collection of vbs files, you should use the entire collection, not just one of the files...

I often see problems related to multiple copies of *.vbs scripts. Guys. When there is a new release, make sure that all scripts are updated. eg. c:\visual_pinball\scripts folder. One of the reasons you might get in trouble is if - you download a table and that contains lets say controller.vbs. I guess some people just extract the *.vpx or *.vpt files into c:\visual_pinball\tables folder. This might work, until you open a table that uses functions that normally has been added to the "updated and newest" *.vbs - typically controller.vbs or any other script. ( some are updated more rarely ). Once that happens - the table calls for a function, and opens the old one, can't find the function and you get an error message.

What you should do is - never extract *.vbs files to tables folder. Or at least - never if it exists in the scripts folder. Chances are quite high that you'll get in trouble somewhere down the line.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

@Thalamus: ok I know, what you are talking about and I follow thos strategy since a long time. The only thing, that remains unclear for me: how do I know, there is a "updated and newest" e.g. controller.vbs and where do I get the right and only correct one (I'm talking about several derivates e.g. lately a modified dB2sEXE.exe from somwhere else)? ATM it's difficult for non-insiders like me to keep pace and I read A LOT at the special sites about development.

Edit: my own strategy: I find it HERE. But, what about e.g. VPX2.1? It's a beta? At least it isn't included in the total installer.

i wrote the controller.vbs, it is stable and there is no plan to change anything for a long time, i think only once we use another system than b2s.server it will require changes to it, so we have time.
anyway if you update vp, the updated scripts come with it, whether it is an official version or not, the latest scripts are always included, other scripts like the core.vbs can be subject to updates so just update vp with all their files to be safe

I am sorry if I might have missed this in the thread (I have searched for "sound" and "volume") but I find the volume on this table to be too low. Unfortunately, I haven't found a way to make it louder. I am pretty sure that I have missed something and would be very happy if someone could point me in the right direction!

This is an original table, so all the sounds wav files are stored in the vpx file.  Table-> Sound manager.

The only volume control is the windows volume control.
