Does anyone else have a problem with Visual Pinball X 10.8.0 Release Candidate 2 DirectX 64 Exe that some tables are not loading, or working properly? etc.Guns N Roses (Data East 1994) VPW v1.1  ,,,,,I revert back to candidate 1 ,all ok? im using vpinmame v3.6-822-66be20f

I tried with one revision after release candidate 2 and Gun's 'N Roses loads fine on my PC. It loads the table for a couple of seconds while vpinball shows "not responding", but i was able to play it.

Yes, everything worked. I played a round.

Script error? Which kind?

Try to start C:\Visual Pinball\VPinMAME\Setup64.exe and click "Install". Confirm, then click "Test" and scroll down to "Guns N' Roses (3.00)". Doubleclick on that name. Does the DMD show up and the sound starts playing?

And why you don't read the error message exactly?
Open the table script and search for "VPMinit me", it will be there twice... Just delete ONE of these lines.

It's the change in some scripts (mainly core.vbs, in scripts folder)
In combination with newest Vpinmame changes in pwm using.
Search for VPX v1889 and use these scripts (copy all of them into your scripts folder), and Vpinmame v3.6.720

It's all in development and beta, no guarantees for anything

.But still dont understand  why all inserts and some gi lights dont work on gnr, roll back candidate 1 ok.. Go back to 2,not working...tried rolling back VPinmame stil no change...hummm?

properly thats a bug in one of the later releases ?
I only see it with GNR as well, maybe create an issue on github for it ?

it's a bug in the table. i think VPW will fix it in a new release

It may be a table bug, but it's strange that the same table works fine with RC1 and not with RC2. I also have this problem.

Additionally, I noticed that when setting the Window POV, the vertical adjustment in RC2 is not working properly. A single press adjusts too much, it is not possible to fine tune the position.

Due to these problems, I reverted to RC1 for the time being.

It's because some table bugs (or using of uncommon things in script) are ignored by older vpx versions, but now have effects in the newest versions.

i believe the gnr issue has to do with either the material changes in the script or a refraction probe

I upgrade my computer, installed VPX 10.8 RC1 both x64 and x86.

Everything is working fine, I followed some guides here and there about frame pacing, but for my surprise, when I set frame pacing I have worse input lag than without frame pacing.

Is that an issue with RC1? should I try an earlier version of VPX 10.8 beta? (I also tried RC2)

My TV is an old 1080p 60hz tv with about 30ms input lag, I got about 32 ~40 ms total input lag without frame pacing (I recorded using a camera at 240 fps), but with frame pacing I got results about 50 ~ 60 ms total input lag.

Frame pacing is not necessarily the best for all setups. I remember that with my previous rig running an AMD FX 8320 processor, frame pacing provided worse results than using VSYNC 1. So you need to experiment which setting works the best with your hardware.

I tried all settings and best framerate i get with VSYNC. i7 9750H, GTX 1660ti, 16 GB Ram. On most tables i have 120-144 fps, Fish Tales from VPW 110-120 FPS on multiballs, with single ball stable 144 FPS. With Frame Pacing there was 80-90 FPS on multiballs and 110-120 on single ball. If You play on laptop set power plan to max performance, gives about 30 fps more than balanced mode.

Frame pacing is CPU dependent, if it is enabled, my CPU consumption doubles,

older CPUs that are not very fast may struggle with frame pacing enabled.

I read about that, but my CPU is Ryzen 5 5600, GPU RX 6600, 16GB DDR4 3200mhz ram.

I am playing at 1080p@60hz, I get FPS over 300 on most tables, but I am really frustated with frame pacing results, I was expecting to get flipper lag close to a real pinball with frame pacing but I got worst results than VPX 10.7.3.
