Do you mean reflections on the ball?
Or playfield? Or sidewalls?
You can adjust the strength of the reflection on individual objects in the properties panel(primitives).
You can also adjust the render probes. I cantremember the name but it's the slider. In pinball magic I can set it to 1 and my sidewalls look like mirrors. But if I set it at 7 or 8 it looks like normal lurked reflection. The same can be done with the playfield.

What reflection do you mean. The one on the playfield. The one on the ball or reflections on sidewalls.
Pf reflection strength can be set in table properties. Not sure about reflections on balls.
As for objects with reflections on them such as cabinet blades or side walls. These are adjusted with the renderprobe feature and works on primitives.
Vp walls and vp bumpers can't show reflections on them. I personally only use vp walls for physics as it's super easy to convert a wall to a obj and they texture better and offer features like reflection and refraction.
As for vp ramps... not sure as I have only used them for physics in vpx. I usually make plastic ramps from meshes and depending on the complexity of a wire ramp I'll either use a vp ramp or make the ramp pieces in fp the import the mesh to vp. They don't really show reflection.
So I guess to correct myself. Primitive can have reflection strength set .

may i ask why though on the actual releases page the most recent is 1347 https://github.com/v...inball/releases,

is this the most tested build ?

If you put a light on a wall with the can drop enabled. The light won't show at all.

Turn off the can drop will bring the light back. Took me a while to find what is causing the lights go to hidden. lol

Going to suggest do these two things 1st, to eliminate them if nothing else

Latest Visual C++ Redistributable Runtimes All-in-One May 2023 Download | TechPowerUp

install that, run installer bat as ADMIN

Download DirectX Redist (June 2010) from Official Microsoft Download Center

down load that, run the EXE to unpack it

then run setup exe

and then make sure you are not trying to replace any DLL's by having non VPX DLLs in the VPX folder, like dinput etc

dont try putting any MS dll's in the vpx folder

Okay I installed the Dx Redis and now the 64 bit editor at least open up now. One step closer it would seem. So I loaded Xenon which loads and plays flawless on 32bit, but not on 64 bit.

The tables loads up, but when I go to play it, I get this:

untitled9.png

Now where do I go?

Now where do I go?

This may be a dumb question, but did you install the 64-bit VPinMAME, along with the 64-bit VPX?

No. Trying now.

Okay. I installed 3.5 64 bit VPM. Table now runs, but I now dont have any DB2S backglass. Backglass was working fine with 32 bit 5 minutes ago.

I did just install this:

https://github.com/v...kglass/releases

Still no backglass appearing.

Strange.

I would suggest installing the latest B2S server into its own folder under Visual Pinball (if you didn't do that yet), and running the B2S_ScreenResIdentifier to ensure that your screen settings are correct.

Also, of course re-register this new version and remove all traces of any earlier B2S server files that may be floating around. Then restart the PC for good measure.

Forgot to register. Looks like the b2s is working now, but the size and position is jacked. I should be able to straighten that out. Looking at it now.

So I tweaked the "screenres" to dial in the B2S for Xenon. I now have the settings correct. But when I loaded and played ACDC, that B2s is now two small. It acts like these these two backglasses want different sizes. Has something changed here? Is there now a way to dial each B2s in individually?

In the past when I had the "screenres" dialed in, then all B2s backglasses looked correct.

Okay. If I select "start backglass in exe mode", then the sizing appears to be correct. Looks like I need to simply select that for all of the backglasses.

Hopefully one last issue. My DOF is NOT working with 64 bit VPX and VPM, but it is indeed working with 32 bit. No issue there.

So is there some issue with DOF not working with 64bit VPX and VPM? Looks like plugin settings is grayed out:

untitled10.png

But again, DOF is working flawless when using the 32 bit .exe

Thanks @Htamas for the help. :)

They occasionally feel like it's ready for an official beta release... but the development progress is so fast right now that those quickly become outdated.

Looks like things are working. But I need to do some more testing. Wish me luck.

One more question. Is this the latest rev for 64bit:

untitled12.png

If I look at 32 bit, I am seeing its current rev is 1414, but as you can see above the 64 bit is currently at 1347. If there is indeed a newer 64 bit rev out there, can someone please link me to it?

Thanks for the help here guys. I really hope the cab is more stable now.

Seems that if you rename the exe file then all sound stops working. I havn't had any sounds at all when I started a table with 10.8 and I have had my vpinballx64.exe renamed to vpinballx64-10.8.exe to so it would be easy too see that it was V10.8 beta. When I renamed to its original name again the sound started working. Just a tip if you have problem with no sound at all.

My sound stopped working again. But it starts to work again if I just rename the exe-file to something new again. Cant see anything in antivirus logs (Defender). Reboot doesn't help. Changed the version to the latest from today didn't help.
Changed the filename, started the game, then exited and renamed it back to the original name, didn't help. Could reuse the old name that I had when I did the first post though.
What could cause this?! Im out of ideas.
