I'm having a little trouble with the hi-res 1.1 version of the table, using 1.0 of the ROM and UVP. When I run it, I get an out of memory error, which surprised me. The PC is pretty beefy:

Intel i5
ATI HD 6850 1Gb
8Gb RAM
Windows 7 x64

Seems like I should horsepower and RAM to spare for the table, no?

Maybe I'm missing something?

Edit: It seems I'm experiencing this on more than one table all of the sudden. It's probably not the table itself, but something I've done in my fiddling to get things just so *grin*.

D,
you have been here almost 2yrs as long as i have.
its the RAM.
i posted way back my results with HSpeed RAM.
you have 8gs of RAM.
its the speed of the RAM not Gs.
gaming needs better RAM.

Maceman posted better results with HS RAM.

your PC kicks mine to the curb.
you have an i5.
my pc is an 06 dinosaur.
2.2 AMDathlon single core with 3.37gs HSpeed RAM.
my pc uses PC or DDR2.
after installing HSRAM alot of problems solved.
all my HR tables work fine with HDR checked.
can play in 1920 ok.
i usually run in 1380.

hey thanks alot man! I hated to say something..cause i'm so grateful for the table...but i know you'd want to know if something wasn't right.
I tried fixing it myself in the editor. The green sensor you made works perfect i think...its the second trigger (i think i on the gate maybe).
As i said..i have usually no problems with the left side...once in a blue moon it won't register.

I also tried tweeking the "phantom" flip on the game..since that never hits the ramp like it should in the real game. I got frustrated and gave up...lol
I know that this is close to an impossible feat given that it's an emulation...but maybe you may have more skill at this (def more than me) smile.gif

With the angles (starting & end), and the speed/strength of the flippers as they are now..it's very difficult to make certain shots on the playfield.
I've tried doing speed= .2 or .3 ....then have strength be around .6 to .8. ...but then there are pluses and cons to that as well.

In all..i think you did a great job on this table...it was quite a feat to take on for sure...but you were the only one to take it on...and i respect that.

I don't think it's possible to get a fully working phantom flipper that way.
I also tried to tweak the timing, but I think for it to full work you would need to do
like melon did for his think flip in The Addams Family. good.gif

Cool with the KEF code too! Didn't know that!

where are each of the phantom flip shots supposed to hit. i have an idea on how to do this similar to the thing flip on adams family, although this will be harder to code as you can flip with a key to throw off the phantom flip

I have the problem that when Dracula is supposed to go left and right for 30 seconds, he goes once left and directly go back in his coffin.

Anybody noticed that?

per the original arcade game...the phantom flips are suppossed to hit the ball up the corresponding ramp. (kinda create a ramp combo effect).
Thats the way the machines ive always played on always did it...unless someone has a different experience.

The pinball game would be accurate about 9/10 times...so it was NEVER perfect.

I myself never have a problem with the dracula that i've noticed...but i'll keep my eye on it.
