ok got it figured out.    it's writing it to an ini file now, and had to change the default screen  in the ini file.  since it's not an option in the program,  or its bugged,.

Made it screen=2  and now  it's fine.

yeah,  it got the * for screen 3  in mine,  but   when it's ran ,   screen 1 was primary in 10.8

 

no matter what cables i switch,  it's always   screen 3.

You'd need to clarify what you are saying

maybe provide some screenshots as well, or both vpx and windows screen configs

I manually had to set this to 2 , default is 0.

Well, I have the dropdown, and  it showed the *  at  display 3.   but when you start the setup  it shows shows display 1 as default ,and when i select the dropdown,  there is the star in front of display 3.

 

After I made that change in the ini file,    when i go into the settings now,   the dropdown  shows  the   Display 3 as default in the dropdown.  instead of display 1.

i don't have any other options to set it..    even if I hit OK at the bottom,   it does not change in the INI file.

 

So, not sure where the problem is with that one.

So it looks like VP now creates a per table .ini when the game is initially launched?  And maybe some settings go in these?  It looks like the "-1" box in the editor to choose your sync option is gone... so these now follow the setting in video options?

you CAN save it per table, it should not do that as a default thing though?

Right... sorry, that was a bad description on my part.  In the "properties" box in the editor there used to be a place to set per table sync or "-1" for default and some other options.

Is it just me, or are the keys for "Start Game" and "Add Credit" keys displayed as their shifted values (! and %) in the newer builds?

Ok, just wanted to confirm to make sure I hadn't missed something.  This is probably for the best because a lot of those settings weren't really practical on a per-table basis.

Thanks Wiesshund, but in which way you can reset them? I can find no default settings button or something similar.

I tried to delete the settings folder in appdata\roaming, but with the newer builds, VPX crashes immediately, if this folder does not exist (it does non recreate it), in e.g. build 1559, it trcreates the folder and the ini file, but the displayed wrong key values are still the same.

Also when relearning the key using key 1 or 5, the wrong display stays (! for 1, % for 5).

I am Austrian, so it is a German Keyboard! And all numeric keys are displayed wrong, even after relearning them. But it seems to be only a display problem, since the correct action happens, when pressing the key (key 1 starts the game...)

And I do not think, the initial crash without the existing settings folder is intended either.

only if i create a new table, not sure f that is intentional?

 

not for existing tables though
