Please speed the vertical offset adjustment speed in window back up. Holding down the key and waiting is like watching paint dry lol

After upgrading to VPX10.8 Beta 5, I began experiencing a slight flipper lag. Enabled frame pacing, rebooted and the delay was still there, even though frame pacing significantly reduced the input lag as shown when pressing F11. Then I enabled Windowed Fullscreen mode in the VPX Video Options Menu and the flipper lag disappeared completely. Loaded 7.3 after the 10.8 upgrade and there was no flipper lag at all - but it still appeared in 10.8 until enabling Windows Fullscreen Mode.

This occurred in my three display standard body cab:

AMD 5600X CPU

Asus RTX 2070 GPU

Samsung 40" 4K playfield with 60hz frame rate (120hz motion rate).

Some people in this thread have posted pics of their settings to get suggestions on what might help, if you would like to do that.

Using alt sound = 2 hangs the program when loading game scripts.

Using GL version reduces brightness to about 50%

I keep downloading the latest gl beta and my bg keeps disappearing when I click on the table to launch. I have forms set to top and save settings. The cursor shows on the bg but won't appear when trying to move it to the playfield. I have bg and playfield on one screen on an old laptop. Directx beta will not render the table, so tried gl beta and it works besides mentioned problem

@Toxie should add this to the front page

Ask @cliffie. he is using single screen with 10.8 as well, with BG, DMD, and PUP on 1 screen (but not on an old laptop)

None of the antialiasing options work if alternate depth buffer option is checked. Is anyone else having the same issue on the nightly builds? Also, I get screen tearing during lighting events when using frame pacing, is that normal?

Hey All,

Is it just me, but is the editor crashing more with the latest couple of builds ?
I am working on a VR for a table, and when I add primitives (save the table) and run it, it directly crashes.
Reopen and run, will crash also multiple times. After a lot of attempts the table will open and run fine, but takes a lot of time and patience
anyone else has this in the last 100 revisions ?

Im sure im not imaging this , but graphical performance (animation, ball movement etc) increases if i set settings* in Nvidia control panel as well as not just VPX, the same settings that are in VPX.

Preferred refresh rate highest available and vsync on, in Nvidia control panel, shouldnt make any difference if set in VPX but im sure it does.

Did the table movement when nudging disappear, or have I screwed the settings up...?

Is there any advantage to using the GL version for a cabinet over the DX one ? Id like to just ask rather than mess around if there isnt, cheers.

You know I'd like to know this too for my Win10 system.  I don't plan on going VR anytime soon just regular 4K 3 screen. That said I have also read there are advantages to the GL version.  The settings options are certainly more robust. I am having trouble finding where to set my display size in the DX version so I can get rid of the POV error when moving from legacy to windowed, those settings seem much more apparent on the GL settings dialog.  That said this is still very beta so I get there is much to do.

The best thing maybe we can do is literally load a table like GnR and play in both EXEs a bit and see which one is snappier.

No. The gl version is primarily for vr. Also used I believe with Linux and Android. I feel the dx version works best on a cabinet pc

I noticed that recent actions (2072 and 2074), had removed ambient occlusion and SSR as user options and made them options controlled by table authors.  I was curious as to whether anyone might know what the advantage of doing it this way would be?
