I have tried it out and must say it looks and plays great in my cabinet.
The left targetbank is fine now and i can see all targets Nice now.
Table plays good in my opinion and the only thing i still have Some troubles with is the pop-up can’t alway see good if it’s up or not sometimes even with the light still on the ball drains so it’s down then
I will look if i can set the tableview a bit different maybe i can see it better then.
But i love to play it and you have done a great job.
Oh i still miss the Lyrics on the scoreboard at the end when the song plays but has nothing to do with the play it’s only a gimmick this video on 15:54 shows what i mean. https://youtu.be/A5ocoglMMg4
You have done a great job thx for it i love that i now will be able to play Both my Old Data East tables again.
Oh and DOF works great here

I'm playing in Desktop Mode. I can bring up the brightness of the table with Day/Night Cycle Slider and Environmental Emission. But how do I bring up the brightness of the backdrop picture? Do I need to export the file, adjust the brightness in a photo-editing program, then re-import the brighter artwork into the game?

Yes the back-glass was taken from a B2S and then edited... If you have a better brightness ratio, and you want to send it back, I'd be happy to include it, sorry for the inconvenience, but I did spend a bit of time photoshopping out some of the pieces, and I don't know if with all the hand painting it would fair any better if I did it on the source.

Robbo43 has sent me a fix, that should fix the rails, as well as the switch configuration in the Whitehouse, so it plays more like the original, I found it odd that the whitehouse holds on to your first pinball a little longer than in Reference videos I saw, but since it worked eventually I didn't see an issue with it. But Robbo43 found the issue, and fixed it on the table, he said it might have something to do with the Data East Rom implementation, as he had the same issue on POTO. I'll upload it after testing it tonight.

Thanks DC,

Just to be clear, the left lock issue (white house) on the original release was due to a couple of missing switches. However, when these switches are implemented the table only handles the ball lock correctly every other game (and it doesn't matter whether you exit the table between games or play consecutive games without exiting). The incorrect behaviour is balls being kicked from the trough to the plunger whenever the lock kicks a ball.

I had the same issue with implementing the switch fix for POTO, I had to update the ball release hack from the VP9 version of POTO to stop the ball being kicked from the trough (that fix causes one minor issue that is not in keeping with the original play of the table). I adapted the same ball release hack to work with secret service once the switches were implemented correctly.

Anyway, I'll try to make contact with scripting/pinmame gurus to find out whether it's a) a logic error with my switch/script implementation (probable) or b) something weird in the data east rom implementation (less probable).

Cheers

Rob

Backdrop lighting adjustments is something that didn't get implemented VPX so far - probably less people using the widescreen desktop view these days.

Uploaded old version ? Looks like that from the thread over at VPU.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

I'm not sure I follow, I felt bad that the Main Page of the Download had no real info, I think I put one line with something like, this is my first test... once I got to 1.0 I still saw that and I decided to change that as well as upload the latest to that main page, and then I also uploaded a new release... how is this supposed to work ?

Not sure if anyone wants them, but I was able to get two more hq pictures of the car.  This time the front and the back bumper.

I updated it to V1.3

http://vpuniverse.co...-data-east-1988

Most of the changes are in the release notes, the biggest of which is SSF Integration for sound feedback, and separating sounds to where they originate from.

Enjoy!
