I love how fast the gameplay is. Feels like a new table.

Are those randr's alien models?

I don´t know who modeled them. I ask JP via PM to use them. So if they are Rand´s Models, I will ask him for permission too and add him to the credits as well.

Since they look like they are scanned, they are in perfect shape.

My current VPX Tables I am working on:

Anyone having a flipper problem? slow response and sticks when flipping?  It's weird all the other vp10 tables play fine.

The few times I've had this happen was usually due to me playing a table when the script is set to B2S.Server, and I don't have the corresponding .db2s loaded yet.  Just a thought

I got that when I default to DB2S and don't have the direct2bs file. You have to manually change the backglass config file per the controller vbs routine to override the default or, better yet, go get the direct2bs file.

Best physics ever! This even beats the Pinball Arcade. Congrats on this excelent comeback. This is an example on how VPX can be used best and it s just your first one in this new engine. Absolutely amazing!

I think the graphics and physics are excellent on this game, it really is a work of art. The ball weight/bounce/gravity are damn near perfect. The flipper speed is too slow though. I can hit all my shots, but I can't do a flipper pass to save my life. Anyone else notice this, or is it just my machine? They are just unrealistically slow (up and down), but yet accurate.

They feel a little slow to me, but maybe real machines are a little slower than many VP tables that were used to (?)

I own 70 real pinball machines. WPC, Stern, Data East, Sega flippers are very snappy and quick. When you watch a new player you'll see they almost always throw the ball up the center the whole game.

And please don't take this the wrong way, this table is exceptionally beautiful. I love the look of it, the sounds are great, the wire ramp sound is spot-on, the lighting is also fantastic. All the physics feel great to me, except the flipper speed. I'm a shooter, if I can't do a flipper pass, I can't play the game right.

You are absolutely right and I never put that together before.  That insight is going to help me in teaching newbies to play.  Thanks.

It's very hard to teach them to wait a second to flip. It's almost impossible to teach them NOT to flip and let it take the bounce. Don't get me started on lane change! I have people that have been coming here for years that still haven't grasped that the flippers change the lane lights, I remind them every time they play and 5 minutes later they forget!

For those of us wanting to experiment with mapping Groni's killer AFM physics onto other tables, here's something pretty obvious I missed: Exporting physics values does include flipper settings (which is awesome). What the export and import process does NOT change is the table slope. Groni's AFM has a steep one: 9.7. So change those values after importing AFM physics (see screenshot) and you'll get a great starting point from which to start tweaking further.

Something else interesting about Groni's physics: Changed gravity constant to .56

I tried Groni's physics settings on JP's TOTAN for VP10 (not that there's anything wrong with JP's physics) and they work pretty great. So - this is a huge amount of fun. Addictive, really.

I absolutely LOVE the physics, and it's also my favorite table :D it's almost like i'm playing the real deal.
Thank you Groni
