Hi Kiwi,

my VP916 is running now. Activating the "Hardware Device Rendering" did the trick. Unfortunately I tried minimal settings to begin with...

The larger pictures are reduced in resolution and size anyway, thank You again for the hint.

Regards

Michael

Hi,

I adjusted the rope jump for VP916 and added droppable walls below the fists in synch with the EM reels to avoid the ball shining through. Some minor adjustments to the playfield layout were done (the new layer system in VP916 works great). The playfield pictures are now at a VP compatible size, saving 8MB of file size. I will test the table this evening and upload the new fix then.

The next thing after that will be the rope jump not initializing/resetting in a proper way. Does anyone have any suggestions for this?

Regards

Michael

I checked the rope jump mech in the rom settings (test area) and everything seemed to be working ok.

I did notice that it didn't have the initialization problem for me in the first version you posted but in 1.1 it started doing it quite a lot so not sure if something that was introduced

in that version had something to do with it?

Dozer.

Add this to the cab the last night and had some friends over. We had so much fun with this table. It's a new favorite table of mine. I added the B2S Server to the script, Awesome table.

Hi clutester,

I am happy, You had so much fun, thanks for the report. Wait until I release version 1.2 with even more little adjustments. The only thing left then is the "rope not stopping" issue, but I will adress this later to give You the next update in due time.

Regards

Michael

P.S.: With VP916 I activated playfield reflection and ball shadow. Now I can see the ball really jump - that is nice!

In Hyperpin the DMD will flash then disappear and the game won't start unless you hit F3.  This is each time you load the table.

First time I've seen this issue with over 200 tables.  Seems like some initialization problem.  I've tried the suggested solutions with no change.

Any ideas?

Hi AAron James,

thank You for the hint. I will add the line to set ddraw to 0 and add a comment regarding problems with the DMD or table stutter.

News on the next update so far I:

- rearranged and changed the code to version 1.0 layout to avoid rope misfunctions (hopefully it works better).

- revised lamp position and shapes to match playfield

- added some more wires

- changed boxer area a little to receive ball movement as seen in a CP video

- added droppable walls to the fists at the speedball area to hide the ball when hit

- added some bigger labels to the lower playfield to increase readability

Regards

Michael

Cheers Michael, rope jump is working much better during the "skip kid, skip" mini game. The spin bug is still there but seems to be happening less.

Hi,

the most rope jumps I did recently was 12, any records yet? The jump is much more stable now, even if the rope keeps spinning, usually it will reset itself after a while. I will investigate this further.

Michael
