So, all of the sound clips are stored in the Table Sound Library. I ended up adding lots of extra sounds that I did not even use when the table plays. If you are getting a line crash number please forward to me and I'll investigate.

Another thing that I did different in this table that most other developers don't do is that most of my audio tracks are in the .ogg compressed format instead of .wav files. So the down side with my .ogg approach is it leverages your sound card drivers "externally" compared to the .wav files which stay self contained in the VPX engine.

I needed to use .ogg as I was trying to keep the table file size as small as I could get it @75 megs compared to 300-400 megs. so send me a picture or line reference of what you see on your side please OR if it is saying it has an issue with a specific sound, please tell me the sound name. Thanks

bass.dll and bass64.dll live in C:\GAMES\Visual Pinball\VPinMAME (Or whatever your VP game path is).

If you are on an older version try upgrading at least to the latest release of VP or VPX.v7 latest release your dll's may just simply need updating. I developed the table under VP 10.7.0 Final Revision 192. Let me know what version you were on.

Thank you for the reply. I'm using 10.7 final as well. I'm not sure what happened, but it happened to a couple of different tables but I resolved it by going into the sound options in the editor, clicking okay and then saving the table and they work again.

This used to be a weekly ritual for me,

Download all the new stuff and archive it on disc.

Try each table at least once.

The past couple of years, since I became an Administrator over at Pinball Nirvana site, my ritual faded off into oblivion!!

Instead of weekly, now it is every 8 to 10 months!!

My heart is into helping this community, and doing something useful for the community.

I used to take take take.

Now I give back to the community that has brought me years of pinball happiness!!

But you are correct.

We are never really caught up!!

There is always something new!!

Damn I love this hobby!!

Carry on.

I am always caught up :)

Namely because i dont go on downloading sprees
If i think i will play a table a lot, i will download it to a test folder and try it
if not my thing, then i delete it

And i dont worry about updating so much, unless the table was quirky to start
or it got a new graphics from something like 720p to 40k

I actually have a very very small number of tables.
The authors are fine, i am just real picky, even with real machines

If you feel the need to empty your wallet in my direction, i don't have any way to receive it anyways

I treat each new item like a pokemon.

Gotta catch'em all!! lol

I have been a collector and archiver of games for many many years.

I love them all!!

Each table is like a time capsule!!

Of course I love all the new tables (VPX), but I also love all of the old tables (VP9 and down).

I am not talking about what year the table was made.

I am talking about some of the very first tables to be emulated with the Visual Pinball program.

There is a unique and intriguing history with Visual Pinball.

This history should never be forgotten or lost, or looked down upon because of present tables being better.

This was top of the line back then!!

The tables and the authors should be respected for their work back then. Even today.

Ok enough of my ramblin...

I have never set up a special package to where it is just tables I like. (Maybe when I get a cabinet.)

I treat each new item like a pokemon.

If i did that, i would have 0 tables

hate pokemon

Me either
That is the joy of only having tables i like :)
It is a special collection even without making a special collection.

I look at lots of table, and high five the author regardless

And what i delete, no one knows but me :)

I love your tables. But I have a problem in the new pc.

I don't see the DMD in all your tables. The others, Williams, Bally, etc... everything is ok.

Can you give some help?

Thanks.

Ok I resolved.

Not sure if all was necessary, but...

I installed UltraDMD

I modify the DMDDevice.ini

; a DMD that renders with nice dots on a computer monitor
[virtualdmd]
enabled = true

In the old installation it was in C:\Program Files\DMD Extensions
in the new it is in C:\Visual Pinball\VPinMAME
And my installation want it in the last location.

Thanks

I'm having an issue where some of the sounds (example the opening song) are playing through my table speakers instead of my backglass speakers.  The weird thing is it's not all sounds - some still play through the backglass.

When I look in sound manager, the sounds incorrectly playing through the table are set to play through the backglass, but still trigger the table speakers.  Can't figure out what's going on, so if anyone has any ideas let me know.  I'm not having this happen with other tables.  Thanks!

Hi in2tronix, with the line 1 error there would be a syntax error somewhere else in the script that 10.8 will not tolerate.

without looking into the script, if you are running on a laptop not a cabinet - you needed to tell it you have no toys connected...

I came here looking for the answer to the B2s disappearing in 10.74 / 10.8 update... worked fine in 10.73.

Can anyone offer a suggestion please?
