04/13/2022 v1.0.1 Released tonight with a revised backdrop, prior bug fixes, some table enhancements. Features include: Jukebox Mode (INS & DEL), Favorite TV Song(F12), 7 TV theme songs to pick from on game start. Beer Mode or "BRB" mode (Backspace), DOF Test Modes. Giving you 7 backdrops to pick from for Desktop users. Audio tracks built out now for all 8 ghosts. Expanded audio library on Right Ramp. Some DMD improvements in different game modes. Be sure to try out the new TILT warnings and practice with the Magna-Save shot to the upper ramp (LEFT CTRL). User guide attached to download. Game loops around after you attempt or complete the last ghost.

 

Parents, you can comment out line 484 if you want to disable the "Beer Mode" audio call out or swap a different sound into the library for that like "Milk Run" something kid friendly ;) Its a family game in general.

       'If keycode = "14"  Then PlaySound "sd_vo_beermode" 'SCOOBY mod v1.0.1 Beer Mode Active, go grab another beer!

 

04/15/2022: Found a bug in DOF command string, Add E105 for Left Pop Bumper, was missing, add manually, I will add to DOF Config Database soon as I can.

Hi Pinthusiasts, it's just a few strokes past midnight now and it's April 1st, 2022 in the Pacific Time Zone. No Foolin !!!, I'm coming out of the shadows now, here is my first table release, It's "Scooby Doo, 2022". A lot has changed since 1969, but Shaggy, Scooby and the rest of the Gang need your help to capture 8 monsters & ghosts and to solve this mystery.
 
This table is a VPX retrofit, retheme and remaster of the much older VP9 Scooby Doo. The audio track has been entirely re-mastered and the table is running nicely on the VPX platform with better code and a streamlined game play.
 
I wish to extend a special thanks to JP Salas, for giving me permission to mod his table (Wrath of Olympus). Scooby Doo sits entirely on top of his January 2022 release of Wrath of Olympus and I did not delete a single line of his WOOLY code. So, if you know the rules to that table, then you have a good head start. In addition I want to personally thank JP for coaching me on some of the finer points of table design and the special touches he added to my revamp (such as the parrot, the barrels, lighting fixes, good advice and other things I did not have the skill to do when I started. My skills started at 0. Sorry I do not have the skill yet to make a backglass for the table.
 
I have additional mods on the way and I'll address bugs and issues in the release thread if you post there.

JP's table plays fine - this table plays fine but the BG does'nt load - I get a DOF CONIFG TOOL screen shot of an Apple computer screen?

Can't copy and paste an image to show but no BG working properly.

Yes, sorry folks about the Backglass, I just don't have the skill or talent to make one yet but if someone wants to design & donate one,  I'm ok folding it into the next release. The one included in the package release is just a place holder more than anything. Red & Wryker you can swap in the Scooby Doo/Kiss b2s for now until a legitimate one is made for my table. Have fun with the game !

Hey I really like that image a lot, how do you make it just a still backglass? I'd like to use it too.

 

 

I just add the table with no b2s file on the cab and then add the image in the front end for the backglass media to show in game, so for me in PinballX just set it not to hide on table launch.

Folks I went ahead and fixed the bug I found last night and made a PDF version of the Players Guide that is not all whacked out. I'd like to reload my v1.0 of the table with the new guide, can someone tell me how I do the upload to "replace" or do I just upload it and site admin will place it correctly where it needs to be?

Ok thanks, I know what that is .... will fix it right away .... that is special variable and a call to a sound in the sound library, you may be able go ahead and comment out line 729 for now and 736 .... sd_tilt_warn & sd_tilt_tilt were audio samples I forgot to load to the sound library. Glad you found that.!!

and make this adjustment to the variable names in the top of the table script as well. I'll load the missing sounds in release v1.0.1 waiting for any other bugs that may surface.

 

TEMP BUG FIX for lines 185,186 & 187 (Shorten the variable names, pull the "vo"out.

The first monster is Elias Kingston AKA Minotaur in JP's Wooly table.

Yep keep trying and some of those shots on the upper play filed are a real son of a gun, LFT magna-save will grab the ball up there so you can make the upper ramp shot. and I have a PDF version of the instructions that I'll be uploading today or tomorrow. I was playing and got the kickback and then got error line 1. I think it said something about DOF, but I have not gotten kickback again the really see what the error said. I really do like this table so thanks.

Yep BHA, sorry about that ... it was an oversight on my part. Here is the temporary fix until I release my next version tomorrow night. Deactivate the RED line, add in new code in the GREEN Line, recompile the table script, save table then you are off and running again . In this table I never deleted any of JP's original coding so I only commented out his stuff when I was replacing it with my stuff. The idea here is I wanted to always be able to follow his coding base as this game is basically a complete re-theme of his WOOLY table from this January.

I noticed that neither the left or right out-lane switches trigger the "S" light on the playfield when the ball is lost.

 

As well, i captured a monster by shooting the ball into the "Monster Masher" drop hole. The ball did not automatically eject and I had to use one of the magnasave buttons to eject the ball and continue playing.  Is that normal? This would be an issue for people playing on a cab with no magnasave buttons installed/configured.

 

Otherwise, awesome work!
