The game won't start for me either....

 

 

When I press [5] it seems to insert a quarter; Adama says "I'm commander Adama" or a cylon says "We are searching for humans" etc.

The LCD numbers are blank though.

 

When I press [1] a Cylon says "How many of you are there?" or "How many?" etc, but the game will not start.

 

Pressing [Enter] for the plunger does work though.

 

 

I tried the original Scorpion table and it does the same thing.

Any ideas?

does not sound like you have the ROM
Or the LEDs would at least light up.

 

Make sure you have the scorpion ROM

And then maybe double check that you can actually boot it up in pinmame32

should get a big black screen with yellow segmented LED displays

 

table will not work without that

I got it to work by copying the rom file into my  \Tables  directory instead of  \VPinMAME\Roms

 

Can the table be edited so the rom location is  \VPinMAME\Roms

the table does not know where the ROM is nor does it care
it just asks VpinMAME to run a ROM as specified in cGameName

 

may want to check the pinMAME has the rom path set, as ROMs should not go in the tables folder
you can run pinMAME32 and check/set the rom path in the same way as MAME

Whoah!

What a huge update this is for me as I was still playing 1.3 (which I enjoy the hell out of)but 

this update is spectacular and takes the table to a different level. I’m not sure how I missed the other updates but wow....love all the improvements like the LUT’s and the flashers. Just a spectacular table overall.....always loved the TV show back in the day and you have certainly done the show justice. All the music and sound bites fit together perfectly. This could have been a commercial table back in the day based on your original work here. Instant classic status! Bravo Xenonph....5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This table is a real treat! It instantly became one of my favorites. It is a difficult table but all the more fun when you get that good game. The audio additions have really made this something special. This is a must have for visual pinball addicts that like Battlestar Galactica. Thank you so much Xenonph!

I am having trouble getting this to work. 
Actually all 3 of the tables that were updated this week are giving me the same error.

Anyone else getting this error? Or know what could cause it?

I think you need the latest release of VPinMame, version 3.5.

I am guessing you are running table with backglass?

When the RomName function was added to the new core.vbs, it was found that the Backglass Server program also had to be updated for this to function properly.

So you can either download and install new Backglass Server program, or delete the nvoffset commands in table script.

You can find the nvoffset command on Line 213 on this table.

So any table that has this nvoffset command in script will error on you, until you upgrade you B2S Server program.

You are correct i was not on 1.4. That resolved my issue!!

I have been playing 1.4 and love it! Downloaded 2.1 and it runs but I get an error when viewing the script:

 

Duplicate definition found: Sub Rubbers_Hit(idx) (Line:  1278)

                                          Sub Rubbers_Hit(idx) (Line:  1302)

Yes VPX now shows if duplicate subs are found.

You can probably delete one of the lines and all should be good.

I will add this fix on the next update.

I never messed with that part of the script, so the original table I used for this mod will probably show same duplicate subs.

Thank you. And thank you so much for all the work on this table and all the new updates! This is one of my top favorites. I am a BSG fan and I REALLY appreciate this awesome gem of a table. I am excited to play this new version!

Well I have a flexDMD version I will be releasing soon thanks to a friend.

Just need to make new 3 screen backglass.
